"My mother moved in later part of May this year and has had nothing but problems. Yes granted the facility is new and they've already changed management 3 times since then, however the newest manager by far seems to be the worst. First they obviously have accounting issues as they can't keep up with payments and deposits made which already confuses the elderly especially my mother who has onset dementia and forgets things. Luckily I make sure to keep up with her receipts and all her banking. But now the worst has happened and we hope that HUD will grant her ability to relocate. This is a Senior living facility however, the management here acts and treats the residents as prisoners. They want to dictate when and for how long they can have visitors. I'm sorry but my mother is 70 and with lots of health issues, whether anyone needs to or wants to be near her should not have to worry she'll be threatened for eviction or written up. If someone visits all day they consider it having unauthorized residents. I'm sorry to have ever considered this place as an option for my mother. Now begins the lengthy waiting process to relocate if possible, I hate leaving her to continue being intimidated by these people. One thing is for certain, they won't keep us from checking on her daily no matter how many hours we stay, we will continue to. If they don't want to lose occupants, something needs to be done about the management they have now and soon! So disappointed..."

"My elderly Mom was one of the first to move into Heritage Heights at Big Spring earlier this year. The process from day one dragged out for months due to lots of confusion and misinformation on their end. We showed them grace due to it being new. Unfortunately, little has changed. These apartments are new and beautiful but it’s one problem after another- plumbing, heating and cooling, grass growing too tall, and every pest imaginable. Management remains slow to address any and all issues. We have been waiting for weeks to receive assistance with the most recent issue: mice, roaches, and spiders. Last week, the office manager Alexis, made us several promises when we stopped by in person but did not follow through on any of those promises. Since then, Alexis hasn’t replied to emails nor answered the office phone. In addition, Heritage Heights at Big Spring solicit themselves as “A senior community for 55 and up!”; however, that does not appear to be true as evidenced by some neighbors. We are regretting moving my Mom into these apartments and wonder if HUD will make her move once they become aware of all these ongoing issues and negligence."
