"I narrowed it down to 3 upholstery businesses. I never made it to the last two. I was impressed with Neil and Jose . They both took on to reupholster my counter stools. Their cost was reasonable compared to other trendy reupholstering shops.Purchasing counter stools on line I had to deal with shipping cost ,taxes, and assembling yourself. Their material is definitely better quality then what my stools had originally . Very happy with Jose craftsmanship. I highly recommend VMC"

"This was my first experience with VMC Upholstery. Yet from the beginning to the end, I was treated like a lifelong customer. All my questions were answered and they shared their many years of experience in the field without hesitation. Their free estimate blew away any other competition in Austin and being at the same location for over 20 years made me rest easy that chairs were in good hands. Their quality of work and attention to detail was superior. I do highly recommend this business for any of your upholstery needs. "Recently, my dog shredded a panel on my wife's favorite couch, which is now 10 years old and pretty much impossible to find these days (I looked). I sent emails with photos of the damage to three different shops advertising upholstery repair. The first store I contacted told me that it would cost around $500 to fix, and that I was "better off replacing it." A second place informed me that it would cost over $200 just in labor, and likely total around $300 once fabric was factored in. Neo at VMC gave me a much lower ballpark figure, so I took it by to get a better estimate. He was extremely helpful in finding an almost identical match of fabric, and had it finished a couple days earlier than I'd expected. With labor and fabric together, it came to $140. Their workmanship was excellent, and it looks fantastic. Most importantly, my wife loves it. I highly recommend this place."
