"Absolutely horrible experience tonight. I have been a loyal big lots customer for almost a decade. I shop at the big lots in Austin all the time. Love their products and love the store. However, tonight was the worst night I’ve ever had in a big lots. I had a lot to shop for (probably close to 250 dollars worth of items) and filled my cart to the brim. It was 8:40 pm and the store closes at 9pm. I was about to check out, when I had a sudden stomach ache. I asked to use the bathroom, but the cashier and manager yelled and me and told me I couldn’t use the bathroom. I pleaded with them that I have a chronic medical stomach condition and needed to use the bathroom, but they rolled their eyes at me, refused to let me go to the bathroom even though the store was 20 minutes from closing. I ran out of the store to the nearest gas station and had to use the bathroom there. I was nearly in tears leaving the store. Not only did the store lose over 200 dollars of items of purchase from a customer, but they lost a loyal customer tonight as well. What kinds of people are these sadistic people? They need to be fired. What kind of a cashier and manager would not allow a customer to use the bathroom 20 min from closing, yell at a loyal customer who has a stomach condition, and then have the customer leave the store in tears and lose a sale of over 200 dollars??? Horrible people!!!"
"Not the best it used to be a good store. But doesn't seem like it's very well happened anymore. And the people aren't that friendly."
"The place often didn't have price. Check in the proper area was hard to tell the exact price. But you have to wait in line just to find out and it takes a little longer than average"
"It's like a furniture store with sections of shelves on the sides. It's clean and well organized. The prices are reasonable and with a card they're affordable. I love that they stock items you can't always find in other stores."
