TownePlace Suites by Marriott San Antonio Airport

"It’s giving crack den vibes. Have no idea how it’s rated so high. Edit: sorry for the short review. The initial entry is nice and updated-ish. I arrived pretty late and was ready for bed. Parking was minimal. Once going to my room, only one elevator was working and no notice was on the elevator. The rooms need renovation. The bed about broke when I sat down on it. I swear my tail bone hit the floor haha. I am not a large woman. Went to take a shower and there was blood on the curtain. It was a small spec but still there. I have insane attention to detail but still don’t think blood is a “me” problem. The tub was struggling to drain. Overall, the room felt dingy, swampy, awkward, and dirty. As this was a last minute booking, you win some and lose some."

"I have stayed at this hotel many times. This time it was okay. The heat in the room was not working well. It was better the second night. And the front desk clerk who greeted me the first night did not offer me any water as I am a Marriot Rewards member. Other than that, it was a good stay."

"Rooms are dated but that’s not the worst of it. DON’T USE THE PARK, STAY AND FLY! The parking lot is backed up to a dark area against the highway. We left our pickup for 10 days for a flight out of state and returned to the tail lights stolen right off the truck! This is a $5,000 item!!!! They told us before we left on the trip that they have security walk around and keep a check on the vehicles throughout the day and night so we felt safe leaving it there."

"Biggest issue is i stayed over weekend. Water was not hot at al. Sent maintenance guy up who saw issue but did nothing to fix it. Next morning had new service man turn up water heater. Better. Had issues with internet being sluggish at times. Only good thing is the breakfast is top notch."

"Location seems sketchy. Rooms are shopworn and dated. Tiny TV that is an an unwatchable angle. I have stayed at a lot of Towne place Suites. From now on, I will only stay in the newer ones- the older ones are neglected. Place smells a bit funny too."
