"I really enjoyed going to this college. I worked while I studied and learned a lot from my teachers. I had one of the best bosses I had out of all my jobs. A lot of teachers are really friendly and helpful. I wished I could have studied my university classes here, but I graduated. As I said, I did work-study, I joined clubs and events, helped communities & organized events. And, it was a lot of fun & memories. The art department; PCA, is the most friendly. I'd recommend meeting people there, in the "art club" or the "ceramics room" & the next room to the right. Rather, you are pursuing an art major or just meeting new people."

"Every single semester I’ve had an issue with Vista’s VA office and the administration. I enrolled in my courses and due to multiple past issues I made sure, in no uncertain terms, that I was set. The employee said, “You’re all covered and ready to start”. Come the first day of courses I’m sent an email that I’ve been dropped for nonpayment. The college’s VA office failed to submit my VA benefits in time for my courses. I had to pay $900 out of pocket to avoid being dropped before the deadline. This college’s administration is a disorganized joke. If you’re a veteran do yourself a favor and look into online alternatives, that’s what I’ll be doing next semester."

"ESL Department!!!! We registered for the English course for my wife and the registration schedule was as follows; It says you attend the first lesson and if you are not satisfied, the payment will be refunded. However, we wanted to cancel our registration for my wife after the first lesson and they did not refund our fee. When we said that we want to come again later, they did not accept. It's literally like theft."

"Campus and professors are amazing however a specific lady in the advising floor right as you enter needs to learn how to speak to people properly. She was so rude and unprofessional. Why does she work to help students if she is so unwelcoming and seems like she rather not be of assistance."

"I recently acquired an associates degree with Northwest Vista College and although Northwest Vista college is a beautiful campus and the professors are amazing, good luck getting help from any of the counselors or financial aid advisors or anyone who is placed there specifically to support their students through processing. Most of them don’t even show up to work at the physical office. I’ve had them answer and hang up calls, and not show up for zoom sessions. Trying to schedule a counseling session for zoom was a problem also. I in turn started using SAC for their counseling faculty, they are much faster more productive and act like they care for their student body. They even helped me even though I was more officially an NVC student. Go with SAC they are way more helpful. As for NVC it has work to do."
