La Quinta Inn by Wyndham San Antonio Lackland

"I think there's definitely room for improvement. There's a lot of homeless people living around and walking through the property. I'm not sure the hotel can do anything about the economic situation in the area. Also, nobody bothers to use the pet area so it's a minefield of dog poop on the sidewalks. The hot water and air conditioner worked and it's close to Lackland. Depending on where you're from, and what you're doing in the area, you'll have a different opinion of the place. At least the staff was decent and didn't bother my things, and restocked the toilet paper. It's also affordable which is a must for a lot of military and their families. Semper Supra!"

"As others have said, the rooms and grounds leave much to be desired and the renovations are not the best but the convenience to Lackland, price, and service are hard to ignore. The booking site really screwed up my reservation but Crystal turned it around for us and made such a difference in our stay. I had requested two rooms near each other but somehow ended up with an accessible room on one side and a regular room across the parking lot. Crystal was able to do some maneuvering on a busy weekend to accommodate us as we had originally requested, in two of the renovated rooms. She checked in with us later to make sure we were comfortable and had what we needed, all with a friendly demeanor and genuine smile. We ended up extending our stay for a few more nights. When my card was flagged for fraud, she notified me right away and was so patient and kind while I sorted it out. Crystal's dedication to her guests shines through. Housekeeping staff were friendly and helpful, as well."

"Room is dirty. They don't change the sheets or do I think they wash it. When they come in to "clean" they don't change it they just re make the bed. Towels looks dirty and brown, linen is stained. Pillow are stained. Service people here are nice but bad housekeeping. Perfect for BMT graduation because it's down the road by base property only perfect for that. Housekeepers are not trained properly."

"The place and price may look good, but this place is super dirty and I canceled my stay on the spot. The bedsheets were stained, the carpet was stained, the AC didn't work properly, the sink and shower had bugs and hair. Tha staff were very friendly and the place is a convenient location and price. But I prefer staying somewhere else."

"Immediately upon entering my room, it just felt gross. Bed sheets and comforter and pillows were covered in stains. There were holes all over the walls. There was mold literally growing by the front door. The sink and shower were both dirty. The bed HAD BEDBUGS. This is not a place anyone should stay at. I am not one to typically write reviews and this is actually the first one I have ever written and to me that shows how bad of quality this hotel is. If anyone thinks about staying here, DON’T!"
