"The worst experience I've ever had dealing with a hotel. The night time front desk clerk was very nice positive attitude great guy but the morning shift manager has the worst attitude I've ever encountered and it took everything in me to remain respectful first of all got to the room television didn't work put me in another room television didn't work put me in another room television didn't work and it had mold on the ceiling and the floor air conditioner busted after that I decided I want a refund he said he couldn't do refunds at night time that was up to his front desk manager to give me my refund in the morning he assured me that she will refund me. I called that next morning she refused to give me my money back even though I didn't stay at the hotel and I was only in the room for 2 minutes at the most."
"I had the misfortune of staying at the Country Inn Hotel by Radisson in Grand Prairie, which turned out to be a regrettable experience. Firstly, the hotel was undergoing renovations, a fact not communicated during booking, leading to a rather unwelcoming ambiance devoid of carpeting and marred by construction activity. The room condition was unsatisfactory. The bed sheets were stained, raising concerns about the cleanliness and hygiene standards upheld by the establishment. Moreover, functional aspects such as the toilets failed to flush properly, and the bathtub's water would not drain post-shower, creating an inconvenient and uncomfortable situation. Cleanliness appeared to be a neglected aspect, as evidenced by food crumbs on the dresser - a detail that further spoils the comfort of the room and question the maintenance routine. The advertised complimentary breakfast was non-existent, removing what is often considered a positive start to a guest's day. This absence of service only compounded the frustration of my stay. Customer service, an essential pillar of the hospitality industry, was grossly lacking in warmth and professionalism. Encountering a rude staff member not only dampens the overall experience but also makes one feel unwelcome. The final blow came with an unjustified smoking fee of $250, an exorbitant charge especially given I am not a smoker. This fee was not only unfounded but escalated the cost of an already disappointing stay to an unreasonable level. Regrettably, my stay at the Country Inn by Radisson in Grand Prairie did not meet the standard I anticipated, marked by a series of deficiencies that cannot be overlooked. It was an experience that I would not recommend, and it raises serious concerns about the value and service promised versus what is actually provided."
"If I could give negative stars I would. This was a very bad experience that will not go away. I was told after I arrived that renovations were happening, which began the downward spiral. Upon arrival to the room, it looked dark and dingy with no carpets. No microwave or refrigerator. No comforter for the bed with stained sheets. I stayed because I paid but now, I am being told over a week later after calling to confirm that I will not be receiving my deposit back. They are stating that I damaged the already old and damaged towels that were given to us. We only used 2 towels and we had no food or anything inside of the room. This place is scamming people and making them pay full price for subpar service and amenities. Please do not ever visit this establishment. Your money will be better spent somewhere else."
"This hotel is disgusting! We checked in late after a Cowboys game to be told that "we gave your room away " . One of the employees behind the counter ended up giving us a room , but tried to charge us another $180 . When walking into the hotel it felt creepy . It had a weird odor and just all ready dirty . It looks like they haven't done any maintenance for a very long time . Pain coming off the walls , very dirty stained carpet ect . The carpet in our room probably had over 20 large nasty stains . I don't want to take my shoes off . No comforter on the bed - just a sheet . I used one of the wash cloths to clean my hand and it smelled like mildew . I would highly recommend not staying here ."
"My daughter and I arrived for the Thanksgiving Day game on Tuesday night a little passed midnight. We were traveling from Charlotte, NC and had multiple delays. When we got to the hotel, tired and ready to settle in, we noticed only one car in the parking lot. We proceeded inside and there were 2 guys behind the counter who asked for my credit card for incidentals deposit. After checking my prepaid stay of 3 nights we made our way to the elevator. There was no carpet in the lobby, almost looked like it had recently been ripped up. The elevator doors looked very worn out as did the inside. When we got to our floor, the carpet there was dingey and had a bad smell. The ac unit at the end of the hall looked like it had been smashed with a sledgehammer and the blinds were destroyed on the window. The door to our room was scraped up with paint peeling. Enter the room. The floor was unlevel, concrete and filthy. The king size bed had no comforter. When I pulled back the top sheet there was an 8 inch black hair and a reddish orange stain about the size of a saucer on the side of the mattress.(blood, fluid, ???). The bathroom shower was disgusting. Honestly I felt like we were at the Bates motel! I told my daughter we were leaving. I went to the desk and told them the issues. The guys told me to contact Cheap o Air where I booked and they would refund my stay. We left and went across the street to The Best Western Plus which was/is amazing! I called Cheap o Air and was told they would have to get approval from the hotel manager after 7am. After we woke up, they called to say the manager would only approve 2 nights and were charging us the night before. I wasn't very happy so I called the manager. She said it was co policy even though the booking Co said she could issue the full refund. The manager said they held our room however there was no lines out the door waiting on any rooms. I told her it looked like someone had been murdered in the room with the stain and smell. She didn't care. I generally don't leave a bad review but this place was DISGUSTING! Hopefully my review will help your decision and pay a few dollars more across the street!"
