"Went in today to exchange and item that we purchased a few days ago, the cashier (her name was Leila) was first off extremely rude, we asked if we could price match with a their website price and right off the bat said no. Her manager which was a short lady with blonde hair came and told her that yes we could. Then the cashier mumbled “that’s stupid”. Second, another employee asked Leila to translate for a customer as the customer didn’t speak any English, Leila did not want to help instead just insisted the customer just read the pin pad instead of just EASILY translating to him in Spanish. They need to hire or at least train their employees to have a positive and better attitude towards customers. Leila did not have a good attitude and was just straight up being rude to our experience our/the whole checkout process."

"On November 4th my father who is 76 was in Academy in Humble Texas. He asked 3 different employees to please help him fill out the online application to purchase his hand gun. Not one single employee took the time to assist my father who told them multiple times and multiple occasions that he did not understand. Do better academy...teach your employees to have patience and compassion for people whom are making expensive purchases! Instead of passing him by and ignoring him like he was invisible! He is not rude or difficult to help! The employees frankly just could have cared less! Please reconsider utilizing this store! Find a small town shop that actually wants your business!"

"I buy handguns there before but since i have encountered rude people just recently and a couple of times during my previous visits, i promised myself not to purchase there again. Range USA is much better and more friendly. Great customer service over there than the academy guns department."

"John in the firearms dept was absolutely phenomenal! Very informative, professional and friendly at the same time. He took the time and answered all of my questions without making me feel I was disturbing him. Even while waiting on my background check to come back, we talked and he would always address other customers at the same time NOT making other customers feel ignored. I’m very happy with my purchase from here. He made it go smoothly! You sir, are an great example of great service and I thank you! The store was very neat and organized as well. I’m feeling super excited about the entire visit. I love feeling like I got my money worth and this place did NOT disappoint."
