Torrid

"NORMALLY I hate going into this Torrid, the employees are THE WORST, today, for the first time in YEARS, I had the most pleasant experience. First off, it’s Presidents’ Day, so I have my children with me, I sit them down in the middle of the store where the small seats are, and tell to just watch their phones while I peruse the area (4 ft away) in comes LINDA. She was so sweet, she greeted me, went over the sales, and asked if my kids wanted to sit towards the fitting room. I was so happy she included them. The NORMAL employees normally roll their eyes, ignore my kids, once made a comment on how it wasn’t “a kids store”, ok, I’m a mom, this store is for women, kids will accompany their mom occasionally!!!! Back to it, I situate my kids in the fitting room, they’re all above 8 btw, not toddlers. I begin shopping. Trisha comes and asks if I need assistance, I did, I wanted to double check a shirt that didn’t have a price, she quickly found the tag, that I overlooked. She wasn’t rude about it, she was great, and didn’t make me feel dumb for overlooking it. 5 minutes go by, I found 3 great tops, and Trisha was waiting for me by the fitting room. I tried them on, asked my kids opinions, asked Linda hers. Trisha also let me know she loved all the tops. The music wasn’t too loud (NORMALLY it is), the vibe was just amazing!! I checked out, got my 3 great tops, and went on my way feeling AMAZING. Shout out to Torrid for the new hires, THEY will keep me coming back. I’ve walked out a few times away from the usual employees, the LOUD music, and the lack of VIBE. Today was beautiful, can’t wait to come back."

"I was very disappointed in this store. I have not been able to go into a Torrid because there is not one around me. So when I saw this one I was so excited. I see online all the cute cloths and bras. I’m a bra lover lol. But wasn’t sure how the cloths would fit so never ordered online. I was ready to spend some money. First, it was dark in there. On one side it was a mixture of cloths that I didn’t care for. I got to the bras. Found one I like, was going to get it. They had no panty collection to choice from. Still had not been greeted or spoken to. Besides me there was only 2 other ladies in the store besides employees. So I kept shopping. Finally found a bodysuit I liked. But wasn’t sure what size to get, so I wanted to try it on. So I stood by the Fitting room to see what the procedure was about going in there. Because everybody has a different procedure. I saw an employee pulling clothes out of the box. So I walked over there and asked do I just walked in there or Donnie let somebody know that I wFitting room to see what the procedure was about going in there. She looked at me, made a gunting noise and then rolled her eyes. So I told her, it’s not that big of a deal. She rolled her eyes again. So I said, you know what don’t worry about it. And walked out. I was thinking if you act like that working in customer service go find a different job. I work in customer service and yes I do have my bad days but you cannot take it out on the customers because it’s not their fault. And you chose that job. I will not allow that one time to ruin my experience with TORRID. I will be trying again elsewhere. But if it’s your first time going into a TORRID do not go in that one. And all the cute cloths in seen online, they didn’t have."

"The workers were very rude to me. I was minding my business and I was consistently harassed with questions. I understand it’s there job to ask question and inform me on sales but once it’s more than once, it becomes forceful. I did not appreciate my experience at all. I was I couldn’t take pictures in the fitting room but there is mirrors and things of that nature for taking pictures so I don’t understand why I couldn’t and was kicked out. I had 2 employees tell me something 3+ times after I told them that I understand. I was preparing to leave , I was understanding, and didn’t continue to take pictures yet I continued to be harassed. They had attitudes, watched over my shoulder for no reason, and kicked me out."

"All of the sales women were very helpful to me on my first visit. They helped me pick out shoes and described how I could use their current sales in different ways to get the things I needed. I would definitely come back and recommend this place to all plus size women. Their shoes are a true wide, they market their sizes in a way that makes you feel good about your body. I love them. They have all the current styles in plus size."

"I love their newly remodeled store. Always clean and organized. Staff is always friendly and helpful but not pushy and never hovers over you. The only complaint is the clearance section is cramped and items to high to reach. Also regular priced items are a bit pricey but the quality has been good. I also like they are starting to carry smaller sizes within the plus size range and a bit below the plus size range."
