"Upon walking into this location no one acknowledged me and when I asked for help it seemed like I was bothering the workers. Good selection bad customer service. DTLR is an urban store and that’s even more of a reason to beat the standard. Acknowledging customers and lending help is a basic aspect of customer service."

"I called in the store last night about a pair of shoes I returned and needed back. After being informed that the shoe was still in the store, I was told to come in the morning as the manager was going to be there to complete the transaction. I called not too long before they closed. I came into the store the next day at 11:20, only 20 minutes after they opened, only to be informed that the shoes were “sold” and shipped to a new customer. After going back and forth with the salesperson, we left the establishment with no way forward. Mind you, the salesperson that I called was the one who opened the next morning, so he knew I was coming back for the shoe."

"Extremely rude staff. Upon walking in (I wear hijab) before I could even speak, the employee (or manager, I'm not sure) was very annoyed by my presence. I simply wanted to return a pair of shoes I'd purchased online. I called customer service the day before AS WELL AS THE STORE LOCATION to make sure I could return the shoes before even going. So I was shocked not only that they dismissed me immediately, not letting me finish a sentence, but the extremely rude and poor communication skills of the staff. This woman (heavy-set, short, maybe she was the manager) told me to have their own customer service CALL her and EXPLAIN what she should do. I was taken aback, but called the bluff and immediately got hold of the customer service (VILLA). She was very rude and snappy at me after that and even accused me of telling them "a different story". Even after having them call her and her and explain their policy, when she was no longer on the call she flat out refused to let me turn them, even when all documentation requirements were met. I have never experienced such a terrible service or lack of basic courtesy from an establishment. This was very obvious because of my head covering and I will never even think of shopping at DTLR again. I've contacted customer service several times via email and phone, they say the have escalated the matter and would be contacted by upper management but have yet to be contacted. The customer service representative said she was even rude with him, as well. I have since obtained shipping label to return the item via mail. Its wrong that people should have to put up with disrespect, especially when there was no cause for it. Never again, DTLR."
