"Happy days are here again! I have found my new favorite comfort food, and it's close to my house. Il Sole is, hands down, THE BEST Italian in Cypress; no one else comes close, and it may very well be the finest in all of Houston. Does anyone remember Pino's Restaurant on Hillcroft? It was quite popular in the 70's. Great atmosphere. The pasta tasted like it came from "the old country." Marvin Zindler loved it. Many Rockets and Oilers went there too. I have dreamed of Pino's lasagna for 50 years since they closed but have been unable to find anything as delicious...UNTIL NOW. Il Sole is a food truck owned by the nicest young couple, newly from Venice. Thank you, Luca and Erika, for bringing the true flavor of Italy to our own backyard! UPDATE! Tonight we tried the pizza. OMG, THE BEST! It's veeerrry Italian, not American. The crust is an amazing cross between crisp and chewy. The red sauce is what is unique about the taste. We had the ham/mushroom combo on one pizza and the Italian sausage on the other. Super fresh ingredients. I just continue finding reasons to love this place."

"I found this lovely Italian food truck while at klaus brewing and I just needed a bite. The shrimp fettuccine, is spectacular and bursting with flavor, the shrimp were all perfectly cooked. I can't wait to take my girlfriend sometime to experience this. This lady loves what she makes and you'll enjoy it too!"
