"This place has been here for well over 16 years. They’ve kept it up to date and the food has always been consistent along with the atmosphere. This restaurant is one of Houston’s hidden gems. I highly recommend visiting this establishment and enjoying their delicious, authentic food."

"The food is delicious. The staff is super friendly. It is a down to earth restaurant that everything I have ordered is very good. Prices are also good. I recommend it. I have had the chicken with garlic sauce, fried pork and beef (ropa vieja)."

"I have been there a couple of times and every time i go is worse, The food is disgusting and the service is mediocre. I ordered a vaca frita to go and for my surprise when i got home, it was all burned and hard, i am attaching pictures btw. I understand why they don’t have any costumers, they are just too simple and nasty for being in this area, Cypress people have higher standards"

"The food was good but what I liked the most from what I ordered was the tamale and the croquettes."

"Labor Day fiasco. They were out of everything we ordered—according to one lady. The next lady said they had everything we had originally ordered. As of 6 pm—they were out of nearly everything on the specials board at the entry way. Yet—the board was still up—with all specials still listed. The first appetizer “tamal cubano” was cold in the center and there was no meat for the first 1 1/2” in. We sent it back. The second one was nuked properly. The ham croquette (3) was edible. We asked for a sangria—shocker, they were out of that, too. They were out of mofongo, so second choice was fried pork chunks. Which, they originally said they were out of. The pork was icy in the middle. It wasn’t raw, which means it was precooked and not heated properly. We sent it back. I ordered the mahi mahi and shrimp, which one lady said they were out of. The next lady said they had one left. It smelled delicious, but the fish was overcooked. The shrimp was decent. Quickly tasted the black beans—to check temperature. They were seasoned well. Once we said we weren’t paying for the dinner, it took the manager a solid eight minutes to come out and address the issue—which he tried to give us excuses. Won’t be back. Wouldn’t even take the free food to go."
