Pep Boys

"Pepboys has been good to us until we got blindsided on some repairs this last spring. The last repair they did seems to have not have taken. I need to take it in to have it checked out under warranty. Unfortunately, their manner is not "bring it down right away and we'll look at it and get it corrected" and more "Well, there's a warranty on parts and labor still in effect, but this isn't a good time to bring it in because we're too busy and I can't tell you when a good time will be and it's probably your fault and not ours" I called again last week and the person who answered was even less concerned about standing behind their work and their reputation. The bottomline is that I need to block out an entire day to take our only car when they open, and then spend however long it takes sitting in their unwelcoming waiting room on their uncomfortable chairs waiting for a report if they remember I'm there and waiting. When things are good, no problem. When you've got a real problem, not so good."

"I was there today 1/30/2024 . I took my car there to have my front headlights replaced. They told me that the charge was going to be 180,00 dollars and the labor was going to take a hour and half. I questioned why the cost was so high because I didn’t see anything on the website that mentioned the price so high and I have been ripped off by several pep boys locations before. The manager was upset and gave me my car back and go somewhere else. I told him when I got the work done I going to call him with how much it cost and how long it took. It took 20 minutes and the cost was 60.00 dollars. I don’t see how they can do it in 20 when pep said 1 hour and half."

"Went in for breakpad replacement technician said they were in good shape, honesty goes along ways with me, they did a complete and thorough inspection process, tightened up a few suspension frame bolts that were left loose by another company who had just did an $1800.00 shocks and struts replacement, WOW! These guys at 1950 beltline facility have a my business from now on! BEST HANDS DOWN! THANK YOU PEP BOYS! YOU SAVED ME! GREATLY APPRECIATED!"

"Final outcome was good, but it took 5 hours to complete an oil change and tire installation. Scheduled and paid for service online, and my wife showed up early. Not a busy day, and they tried to charge more for the tires than I had already paid online. First time I have had any issues with Pep Boys, but as I said, the final work was good."

"Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Everyone had smiles on their faces. They got my truck in and inspected and out of there very quickly. The waiting area was very clean. I would recommend Pep Boys in Irving to anyone who wants fast, friendly service."
