"My boyfriend and I stayed here for a week in February and experienced most amenities they had to offer during this time. We didn’t check out the gym or sauna, and the pool was closed due to “maintenance”. We had credits to use due to our Diamond Status, so we tried out all the restaurants which included Herb N’ Kitchen and Kitty O’ Shea’s. The 720 Bar and Grill was closed indefinitely, which we were disappointed to discover. At Herb N’ Kitchen, we were in shock when our 4 water bottles and a few snacks rang up to a whopping $90. We thought we would surely be under the $60 we received in credits per day. When it came to room service, there was none, and the maid did not vacuum when there were crumbs left by the previous guests. We ended up using our $60 to just buy water rather than have nice room service like we intended to do. We suspect that the quality of the food in the restaurant, Kitty O’ Shea’s, as well as the pool and other restaurant being closed had more to do with the lack of guests staying in the hotel, since we didn’t see a ton of people staying there. Overall the hotel decor was beautiful and historic with elegant marble and chandeliers. But due to the lack of room service and quality of the food inside of the hotel, we ended up leaving to go to the nearby area for most of our meals. The location was excellent being close to many restaurants and museums, as well as a nice view of Lake Michigan."
"Our stay at the Hilton Chicago was a great experience. The room was clean and sufficiently spacious. The buildings are well-maintained. It is a beautiful hotel with a rich history. A lot of historic events have happened there, and many notable people have been its guests. The service is excellent! The Michigan Avenue location is great! It's within walking distance of the Lake, museums, restaurants, and Soldier Field."
