"Today is Thursday , February 21st. I am literally sitting here wearing a mask and crying because my apartment and clothes smell like stale cigarettes and weed. The office does nothing because they smoke too. I HATE THIS PLACE. I wish I could give zero stars. New day, same stinking cigarettes smell in our apartment from neighbors smoking inside their apartment. ALL SMOKY IN OUR APARTMENT COMING THROUGH THE VENTS AND OUTLETS. HAVING TO OPEN A WINDOW OR OUT ON A MASK. UPDATE...The letter you put on doors only served as an empty threat that has caused the ones smoking to smoke more as a punishment to us for reporting it. It's never stopped. It's worse than before. My son hugged me today and could smell smoke on my clothes. I've NEVER, EVER SMOKED. We don't allow smoking in our apartment. I HATE IT WITH A PASSION. I'm afraid to call the police because of retaliation. The weed is very strong and can be smelled outside. Please hold people to the lease regarding this issue. The leasing office put notes on doors 2 days ago. Since then, the smoking is worse. Some of the tenants are just mean. Thanks to the office. The tenants in the 1200 building constantly smoke weed and cigarettes. The smoke travels through the ducts and outlets all through the apartment.They smoke in their bathroom so ours smells like smoke. In the kitchen so our kitchen smells. It's even coming into our bedroom. And it's most off the day and all night between cigarettes, ciagrs and marijuana. We can't even sleep in peace It dries out our nasal passages and we cough all night. Sometimes, we smell it as we're walking up the steps. I've even sat in the apartment with a face mask on and slept with it on. I have breathing problems and my husband had triple bypass surgery and doesn't need to be breathing second-hand smoke, either. Even our clothes and towels smell like stale smoke. I've kidded that I'm going to get a contact high from the weed smell being so strong. It's miserable for someone like me who has never smoked anything a day in my life. No one smokes outside and definitely not 25 feet away as the lease states. When my husband complained, he was told he needed to know exactly who it is was. Why is that our responsibility? Besides, it's mire than one person. It's so dangerous these days. We wouldn't dare knock on a door and ask them to stop smoking. We might get shot. What will it take to get them to adhere to the lease? For the unit to catch fire like the ones across the street?"

"I have lived in this community for over 10 years. Its quiet, clean, and close to everything. The maintenance staff is quick to respond and the grounds & amenities are well kept."

"I have enjoyed living at The Halston. I’ve been here almost 4 years now. Rent is probably the most affordable in the Hoover area. So far It’s quiet, peaceful, and safe. The grounds are always kept. Naudia and Johnathan in the leasing office is always helpful and polite. The maintenance men complete all requests within a day or two. They have a well equipped and clean 24 hour gym. 10/10 recommend!"

Beware the utility costs will get you! **In response to the property “owner”..I did reach out to you all about this, and realized I actually have to pay for other people’s water/sewer usage as well! Also, your property employee definitely downplayed the cost of utilities when I met with him…my rent is nowhere near what I was told!! Again beware!!!!!"
