"The hotel did not tell us that several sports teams were staying at the same time as my wife and I. Not only that, but they put us on the same floor with two of the teams. They were loud past 11:00pm and started being loud at 5:30am so they could be out by 6:15am. We didn’t want to deal with that for the weekend and so they did let us out of the extra days but they should have told us. It was a waste of a 10 hour drive and ruined our plans for the weekend. The staff was average at best and the man who checked us out had little sympathy for our situation. The hotel is located on a busy street and it’s hard to make it to the other side during the morning and evening."
"My wife and I have stayed here on several different occasions for medical trips to uab. This has been our go to hotel. The beds are super comfortable and the staff is always pretty great. Our last visit in particular The chef in the morning was really great. I didn't catch his name But my son was on a special diet And he accommodated our need"
"Rooms are nice. Small TV. Looks like this hotel is still remodeling. There is no comp breakfast due to having the restaurant. First Holiday Inn Ive seen with a restaurant. So you have to pay. Close to walmart and many places to eat."
"Customer service could be alot better. James Foxx was excellent and very hospitable. Check in was fast. Hotel is under renovation but that wasn't noted on website or when reservations were made. Overall a good, quiet stay. Close to mall, many food places and churches."
"Made reservations on phone, get there and the lobby smells of glue and formaldehyde. I asked if breakfast was included and she said it was around the corner. Next morning, we go get free breakfast, and told it wasn't free. I am seeing a specialist here, and was booked so far out, I didn't get breakfast at all today bc of the inconvenience this hotel, and booking agent cost me. Bad enough I had to travel to see this specialist. Someone in another country should not be making reservations for people if they don't know where the hospital is. Worse yet, I'm disabled, and was put on the 4th floor, and said I was disabled. All I got was a walk in shower on the top floor. The beds were not comfortable. Holiday inn is NOT Holiday Inn Express!!! Never again"
