"When I first move in here it was ok 6 months after I started to see a Change you get what you pay for these are the cheapest apts downtown so of course the elevator are janky of course half of the washing machine and dryer don’t work and of course cars get stolen over here they have a serious roach problem which was the last straw for me they are everywhere know matter how’s many times they come out they do not go away other than that my apt itself had a nice view the people in the lobby area made me feel uncomfortable and. Was Always in somebody bussiness the management is amazing and super friendly and understanding they work with you and understand there residents they are the best the apt itself is not"

"Tiffany made us feel so at home and was incredibly informative, responsive, professional, and proactive from the day she showed us apartments to the day we moved in. This has been a completely different experience than the other management companies we’ve worked with the last couple of years. I’m thrilled that our son is living in such a nice community while he attends CCS downtown and I know he has people like Tiffany to count on if he needs anything."

"My overall opinion of City Place is that the pros do not outweigh the cons, and I would not recommend living here even if you are looking for "bang for your buck" which is what I was hoping for. After staying there one year, below are my list of pros and cons for you to decide: Pros- great location, near highways and downtown but quiet as there are no stores or bars for people to be rowdy outside. Water pressure is amazing and always hot, also gets hot quickly. Big windows make for good lighting, on either side of the building. The large closets are nice. Tennis courts and Lafayette Park are also nice outdoor features. Utilities are included. Cons: Infested with roaches, I saw giant (2-3inch) roaches in the lobby multiple times. 1/3 elevators didn't work a majority of my lease and was still not working when I moved out end of October 2022 (hasn't been working since spring). The other two would break down eegulary. You have no control over your heat and A/C, other than on high or off, and in the fall when they have the heat on, its often unbearable how hot it is. In the middle of winter i has to open the window to regulate the temperature. There is flooding in the building (I was told a roof issue) which makes some of the units unlivable. I saw no progress being done to repair these units which leads me to believe there may be mold in the building. Oftentimes security isn't in their booth and there is no way to keep strangers from entering the apartment. The parking lot is 'gated' however the gate never closes and security isn't out there monitoring. The parking lot and circle is full of potholes and often floods meaning you have to drive your car through roughly 6 inches of water. The laundry machines do not work most of the time and if they do they smell bad. You have to put cash on a card to use the machines and sometimes the money machine is full or unfuntional. The workout room is gross and has roaches (you can check the traps throughout the room). There are dogs that live in the building however a lot of people do not pick up after them, leaving the front yard covered in feces, which management did make not of, however I did not notice improvement during my time there. I was told by Maintenance that they are not required to give any notice when coming into your apartment, and they don't."

"I lived here for one year while I went to school and worked. It is a great location just outside of downtown. Easy access to 75 makes commutes simple and painless. I loved the apartment, the staff is on top of things, security is great and gets to know who you are very quickly. The apartments are very cute, and the view is to die for. I really enjoyed my stay here and sad to be leaving. The management works very hard to make a better living situation for their residents, it does feel like a community. I stayed in a studio apartment, perfect for one person, or a couple, affordable. The images are pictures taken from inside my apartment. Water pressure is great too. I would recommend City Place Detroit."
