"Such a beautiful hotel! The architecture is stunning. The service is excellent. The valet staff is top notch, best around. Can't say enough about that service! Shout out to those guys! The food (San Morello) is delicious. Beds are clean and very comfy. Very convenient location. Gave us a 12:30pm late checkout. Not cheap, but worth it!"

"Very nice/up to date hotel with furnishings that appear to be a mix of classic and modernized mid century inspiration. Good location for visitingvarious downtown locations and being generally walkable. Staff were always really nice/helpful when needed. Valet service was a bit pricey over the course of the stay (I expect a hotel to have parking covered/included). Our king den room was nice, and had a good view, but seemed significantly smaller than pictured online. The bathroom tiling/layout was nice but whoever designed the lighting must have been going for the "12 hour binge exhaustion I can't make out my face in the mirror" look as the lights were positioned such that no matter where you standyour face will be in a shadow in the mirror. The room service kitchen was prompt/fast, and the food was pretty decent, but we spent almost $100 on just a simple breakfast that should have been $20; there are better options in the immediate area/a short walk way. Having spent various portions of my life visiting Detroit, it is really nice to see reinvestment happening, but I can't help feeling just a bit like it is all a farce and I'm just getting fleeced."

"Gorgeous, incredibly nice staff, EXPENSIVE AND UNFORGIVING. Rooms: 10/10 Staff: 11/10 Flexibility: 0/10 Cost: 3/10 We were supposed to only stay 1 night. We called to extend our stay to 3 nights. Before confirming the woman on the phone extended our stay without us giving her permission to do so. She said we could call to change it at any time. When we called to change it a few days later to only 2 nights, we were told there was a waitlist and they couldn’t do anything. They also had changed our room price from $300 a night to $510 for the last night because of a holiday!! There was no attempt to work with us on our travel plans changing and now we are out $510 for a room we aren’t using. It’s a gorgeous place, room service is horrendously over expensive and just OK, and they do not budge at anything regarding money. If you know your plans to a T, it’s a great stay, but do not come here expecting any flexibility whatsoever. Won’t be staying ever again unfortunately due to the inability to work with us on our plans changing."

"I absolutely love it here! Valet, the front desk ladies, and the bell gentlemen were all outstanding and friendly! So helpful! Very attentive!! The room... OH MY GOD!!! BEAUTIFUL!!! The location is PERFECT!! We will definitely be staying here more! Looking forward to my next wedding anniversary ❤️"
