"Beautiful location in Detroit. Our family came out for the monster jam show last in the Ford Field Stadium and 2 nights for a nice hotel it was a good price. My son had an accident while we were there and hit his chin on the corner of the dresser. The manager gave him a cookie on his way into the ambulance. I’m sure it’s a little concerning with liability but it was of no fault of the hotel. Accidents happen (and the cookies are super good, you get one per adult when you check in). Above all M. Davis is an exceptional housekeeper. I had only asked for the floor to be vacuumed and trashes taken out. I have kids so iykyk. She went above and beyond and made the beds, left us new waters and picked up leaving it incredibly clean when we came back. She was so kind and I know as she said it’s her job but I have a level of appreciation for housekeepers I don’t truly know how to explain. Cleaning for others all the time isn’t always the easiest of things. I hope in the future there will be a way to tip housekeepers electronically because more and more people including me just generally don’t have cash on them. Thank you DoubleTree! You have wonderful staff!!"

"We stayed here for an event and it was great! Beautiful hotel, delicious food, both from the restaurant and the catering side. Great service, both during the event and during our entire stay. Will definitely return!"

"The staff here have all been friendly, which is why I'm not giving this one star. But that's about the only good thing here. First, when my husband and I arrived to our room, the bathroom was not at all clean. The sink, toilet, and tub looked like they hadn't been touched in awhile. When we called someone up to clean it, she was here for all of 45 seconds, rinsd the sink out a little without actually cleaning it, flushed the toilet without actually cleaning it, and didn't even touch the bathtub. I'm also aware of a friend staying here at the same time who had to be moved to another room because the original one she was assigned still had dirty towels and bedding in it. The breakfast buffet food was not good at all: very mushy and greasy eggs, soggy potatoes, and soggy waffles, and yet they charged 15 dollars per person. We're not done with our stay yet, unfortunately, but we've been here long enough for me to know I would not recommend this place."

"The Dearborn Doubletree lacks the management and customer service to be called a Hilton property! Its lack of attention to guests’ simple requests moves it to the top of my “bad dog” list. I would not recommend this hotel, nor will I stay here again! Bottom line, FIND ANY OTHER HOTEL or B&B in the area. When we checked into this Doubletree and they indicated the room we had reserved, during online check-in the night prior, was not the type of room we had reserved and paid for red flags went off. Apparently, according to the front desk manager, the online check-in system “must not have been working correctly”. So, we gracefully voiced our displeasure and accepted the alternate type of room. The room we received was adequate, but not what we had reserved, but we made do. Our next day was filled with even more surprises, when I had to call 5 times throughout the day for a roll of toilet paper and clean towels. As it took so long the day prior to get room amenities and our room needed service, in the morning I called the front desk to request housekeeping. My call/request to the front desk was answered by “guests must call 24 hours ahead for housekeeping, but if they had time they could get to our room”! Unbelievable…bad enough guests must pay more for hotel rooms, but now we must also make another reservation to have our rooms cleaned! The following day I went down to the front desk and graciously discussed room service and their 24-hour rule. I gave them notice that I desired to make a reservation now (24 hours in advance) for my room to be cleaned each day until we checked out, in which they agreed. As the manager was standing next to the front desk attendant, I was hopeful my “advanced request” was heard and understood. Jump forward to the next day, after spending all day out of the room, we returned to find no housekeeping had been accomplished! Need I say more! Skip the heartache and incompetence of this DoubleTree…FIND ANY OTHER HOTEL or B&B in the area!"
