"Recently remodeled room, fixtures, and furniture were all in excellent condition. Lobby and dining areas were also very nice. Had breakfast at Top of The Ponch, was pretty good for the price, but an AMAZING view of the Detroit River and surrounding area. Only complaint was that bar in lobby had a very small, overpriced menu. Would have like a few more affordable appetizers."
"For the amount the rooms cost they should have more amenities. The room mini mini fridge didn't work no microwave n out dated rooms. If it wasn't for the location i would never go back but the ability to look over the river to Canada makes up for the faults. This was my second stay n my first experience was better"
"I’d like to say that you to the entire Fort Pontchartrain staff for my experience inside of the hotel today. How ever I would like to personally thank Craig the amazing bar tender inside of the Urban cellars restaurant. I had an awful time with traveling as well as losing a very close relative and Craig went above and beyond to make me feel welcomed and comfortable. He opened conversation and allowed me to express in a way I didn’t know I needed. The customer service was top notch. My drinks were perfect and everyone was very well groomed and polite. Thank you Craig and for your encouragement and all of the other staff as well."
"We came from Indianapolis for a concert; me, my husband, and our two rambunctious 8 and 10 year old boys. The hotel was gorgeous, well maintained, very clean and tidy. ABSOLUTELY EVERY employee we encountered wss so nice, polite, friendly, kind, and beyond helpful. We.booked just a good old room, but it too was very clean and sanitary, spacious, amazing view, comfortable beds, and we were VERY pleased. The location ended up to be AMAZING for our venue and for exploring the area around the water separating the US from Canada. Great and clean pool, hot tub, and spa. Very safe and clean are of town also. Yes, the hotel was fabulous, but the staff was even better. We wished we had stayed longer than the 1 night for the event because we wanted to explore so badly. We plan to come back in the spring and we will absolutely book here 110% because of how phenomenal the employees are, they truly cared and went the extra miles without being asked and they made a great impression on us that's for sure. Can't wait to come back!"
