"The shuttle bus driver - Jeff is the biggest pro about Woodbury. That man is the most positive person in Ann Arbor. The location and houses are decent, but the maintenance and service have a lot of room for improvement."

"Lived here from December 2020 to June 2023. Some pros and cons from my experience: 1. Well maintained: It is not a brand new apartment complex, but it is pretty well taken after, so never had any major issues, both in my unit and in general. They also undergo a few updates now and then. 2. Just the right distance from school: It took me just over 20 minutes to get to Ross on foot one way, which is not that terrible in my opinion. There are also buses for downtown on both Industrial and Packard sides. I liked that I wasn't right by the school with a whole lot of noise. I didn't take advantage of the free shuttle that much because the schedule didn't fit me very well. 3. Zipcars: I do not own a car, but there are a couple of Zipcars by the clubhouse, which was a huge plus for me. Was one of the deciding factors in making me live here. 4. Staff: Both the managing staff in the clubhouse and the maintenance crew are generally nice. Both move in and move out were very smooth. 1. Rent: Now there are other newer places with much higher rent in town, but I would not describe this place as affordable. I locked in really low rent during Covid, but otherwise probably wouldn't have been able to afford this place. 2. Occasional power outages: Yes there are power outages due to storms, etc., but there were also a couple of isolated power outage incidents in my building, possibly due to the wildlife messing with the equipment or it being outdated. These are all I can think of now, but will keep updating if something comes to mind."

"* This is an honest, well-deserved review and we were not asked by anyone to write this. * We searched and contacted countless apartments in Ann Arbor before our move there (first time living in AA and MI as we are not from there). We ended up renting with WGA for a year (lived at the 1960 building, which is by South Industrial Highway) and we cannot recommend Woodbury Gardens enough. From the very beginning, they were on top of things. We rented a more outdated, pet friendly unit (all the appliance were old but they were in excellent working condition) and we were happy with it. If you prefer to pay more, they also offer renovated units. The unit was spacious and had lots of natural light. Maintenance requests (e.g., closet doors popping out, bathtub glazing, etc.) were always answered promptly. Management and staff are very responsive and overall, pretty solid human beings! The neighbourhood complex is very well maintained (seriously, I’ve never seen more perfect grass). They also just redid the parking lots last month. There is a dog park (very clean), tennis courts, a basketball court, playground and the Club House has lounge areas, office spaces, kitchens, a gym, an outdoor pool, BBQ spaces, free wifi, coffee/tea/snacks etc. for UM football games, they have tailgating events that serve free grub! The street parking usually gets jam-packed by folks going to the football games, but is otherwise very open and accessible (there’s plenty of parking behind your specific building anyway). Besides all this, we loved that groceries stores, liquor stores, CVS, gas stations, highway, Target, Whole Foods, etc were all nearby. Drives to downtown often took 6-10 minutes depending on traffic. We never had issues with excess noise (or any noise at all to be honest). We will surely miss living in such a beautiful, green space. "It's a great place to live, on the expensive side, but the overall quality and amenities make it worth. I share a 2 bedroom unit with 3 friends to save $, and the fact we haven't had any structural breakdowns is probably impressive. Management is friendly and helpful. The clubhouse with a common area, game room, pool, and complimentary light breakfast is a nice bonus. The apt complex is walking distance to a bowling alley, CVS, and Salvation Army, and is close to many other shops and small businesses."
