Radisson Hotel Southfield-Detroit

"This hotel deserves no stars from me . I stayed at this hotel last year & did not have the same experience as I did this past weekend. Last year my experience was awesome. The customer service was great. The rooms were clean. However, my stay during this past weekend was absolutely horrible and saddening. I had a room that was full of bugs. I then was moved to a room that had holes in the sheets, dirt on the walls. I then was moved to a room that had a faulty smoke/carbon monoxide detector that went off at three in the morning, causing the front desk associate to snatch it out of the wall. I called down to the front desk several times to speak with a manager who was nowhere to be found after they stated they would be in. They gave us two courtesy breakfast cards. Once we got down to breakfast, we discovered that and some of the butters there was black mold, as well as green mold, pictured in this post. There were food on the floors on our floor, as well as in the elevators for long periods of time. The front desk associates offered me 30% off of my stay which was $471 total now I think that is unacceptable considering the fact that my health as well as well-being was completely jeopardized. The manager of this location is Billy Ganntt & I have not been able to get in touch with him either with no call back. I would not stay at this hotel if you are looking for stay in Michigan. I would spend my money elsewhere in a heartbeat. I nor would recommend this hotel to anyone. The managers, and general managers have taken no interest in the cleanliness, aesthetics, or basic necessities that this hotel should have."

"The staff was friendly place was clean. Breakfast was great Ivan was the best helpful and if Saviours Day comes back for 2025, we will be staying here. Thanks for your great service Ivan !!!!"

"Last time I stayed here was over 35 years ago. I think it was the Holiday Inn back then. Definitely upgraded. The customer service was pretty good for the most part. From attendants were good. The guy that ran/set up the morning buffet was excellent! Need microwaves in the rooms. This place could use just a little more... touch of love."

"We stayed over night for NYE EVENT 2023. Enjoyed our stay, staff was very nice and professional. Free coffee and water. Had a nice view. Bathroom small. But nice room. This do not affect the hotel. The NYE event was nice but the DJ played rap music all night. Nice if he would have mixed it up. It was a mix crowd. Maybe next event use one of the spaces for some R AND B MUSIC. WE DO LIKE TO BALLROOM."

"We had a great experience here. Ivan, the chef, was very kind and the breakfast he’d prepared was amazing! The staff is very sweet and friendly. If you stay here, I hope you meet Ivan and say hello to him :) he loves when people eat the food he cooks so be ready to eat lots at the breakfast buffet!!!"
