Radisson Plaza Hotel at Kalamazoo Center

"The hotel is nothing special, just average for the cost. We were there for an event and the fire alarm went off so many times that we evacuated several times from the 8th floor. It was absolutely ridiculous. Especially since we brought my mom and she is not very mobile to be going down flights of stairs. Not only that you can hear absolutely everything, even the train going by outside, the people out in the hallway. Definitely need to close the hotel down and update the emergency system throughout the hotel, the constant text messages saying it wasn’t a real emergency was annoying. We were ready to go home after the first night. I hope that the organization we were with never has another event there. We should definitely all have our money back from the weekend for the inconvenience. I’ve never stayed somewhere that constant issues with alarm systems."

"Beautiful setting and great location. My room was a renovated room and it was very clean and had a very comfortable set up. Check-in was easy and the staff were professional and friendly. I was there for a conference and things ran very smoothly. Parking was easy once I knew where to go. You can only use your key card for your own floor, so it has built in safety precautions. Only things I'd change would be more counter space in the bathroom and earlier hours for the fitness center."

"I stayed at this hotel for the Doki Winter Fest that was taking place there and I had a wonderful time! The customer service is top notch! The hotel was clean, spacious and the layout was easy to figure out! The rooms were spacious besides the bathroom that was a little tight but that was my only gripe throughout my whole stay"

"I recently stayed at the Radisson Plaza Hotel of Kalamazoo this past week. The building itself was absolutely beautiful perfect for weddings or any type of conference venue. There is a Starbucks located within the building as well as two restaurants offering vegan options as well. There are multiple areas to sit and study as well as lounge as you enjoy your drink. My only two critiques would be the functionality of the app that was offered prior to my stay. I attempted to check in via the app however experienced continuous technical difficulties. And during my first night my room had leftover trash in the bin within the kitchen. The staff was extremely accommodating and understanding however I did hear another guest note that one of the staff members was not friendly however I did not share the same experience. I have attached a video below to highlight my first room that had trash present otherwise the room was extremely clean and well-maintained."
