"I paid a depost for my son who want to study in Ohio ($300) after they told me he is under 18 we can't rent. And I asked for refund they didn't pay up to date."

"Try something else. The only good thing about this place is location. Everything else is bad. Overall the management does not care about you and is rarely helpful. They don’t even have someone working in the building full time, instead you have to go to another location to get in contact with them. No parking lot, WiFi is bad and if it goes down they won’t help, and the price is outrageous for what you’re given. I lived there for 11 months and my room faced a brick building meaning no sunlight AT ALL. Try looking elsewhere outside downtown. You can bus downtown from local area if you need to."

"The location is excellent. I have been living there for 2 months now. I have had several problems. I barely get a signal for WiFi in my apartment. Free WiFi is part of the lease. I barely get use of it. I cannot use it for work because I do a lot of teleconferencing and it is not good enough for that. I can barely stream anything on the internet. They have been "fixing" it for over a month now. No communication about it for several weeks. The worse problem is the AC however. When it comes on it makes VERY loud grinding type sound. It vibrates the walls sometimes. It would definitely wake a normal sleeper up. I sleep in the Living Room during the week so I can sleep enough to go to work. They said they would fix it somehow, but have done absolutely nothing about it. I have not heard anything about the status of the AC in over a week. Management does not communicate very well. Overall the of the building is ok but needs updating and some TLC. With the ongoing problems and little or no communication with the Management I sometimes regret my decision to live here. The price is a little steep for what you get. Also be aware there is no parking specifically designated for the residents of the Flats on Jefferson. I park on the street, not sure how that is going to work out in the winter."

"Have been a tenant for 9 months now. The three stars reflect the owners’ stunning lack of care for their property... broken mailboxes, broken front door locks, original fixtures, mis-wired electric, no parking lot lighting, (very) inefficient HVAC, zero security, regular shutdowns of the water supply for maintenance, no professional interior cleaning, common space has unconditioned air, etc. I’m not sure who is responsible for upkeep but really they should feel humiliated because there are no signs of love what.so.ever. THAT SAID... the tenants here are really cool. It’s a ragtag bunch here... artists, grandmas, socialites, nurses, service workers... old and young, fortunate and strapped: it’s a refreshing mix. Almost everyone is friendly yet they mind their own business. That can’t be overrated. In addition, the rent is SO CHEAP. This is literally the closest apartment building to the center of downtown and it’s less than any other housing for miles except Section 8. Being two blocks from RiverScape is awesome, and downtown culture is chock full of entertainment. In recap, this is a worthwhile place but it’s a shame the owners do not care. If they read this I hope they understand I’m being fair and would happily pay more per month in rent if they tended to the most basic of comfortable respect for their tenants."
