Best Western Orlando Gateway Hotel

"NEVER COMING BACK!! Our first room had dead cockroaches plastered on the wall above the sink, dirt, grime and sand all over the floor and the room itself smelled horribly. Tried to take a shower and the water did not get hot. Complained about the above and they moved us rooms. This room had two beds, one of which had dirt and grass clippings on the sheets. Come morning time, I went to take a shower and the shower knob was completely off the handle. Spoke with the manager who offered free breakfast and a total of $15 off our bill. I asked how they expect me and my family to eat the breakfast when we had dead cockroaches plastered to wall of our first room. I should have listened to my wife and move to another hotel, even if this hotel would not give our money back. But hey, that $15 off really went far, thank you so much!! (sarcastic)"

"Location is key in Orlando and this place is super close to Universal. Everything but the bathroom was super clean. There was baby roaches, hair and trash under the vanity, paint was peeling at the bottom of the tub showing rust and the tub stopper was broken. Bed was very big, comfy and clean. I definitely wouldn't recommend for more than one night just based off the bathroom alone."

"Walls are very thin, good luck with sleeping, can hear water running from room next door, their entire conversation and every cough or sneeze. No hot water the first day. Lobby reeked of paint and pool area smelled like weed. Breakfast was not included like we thought. Did not do a good job of switching sheets and towels, would not recommend. The location isn’t bad for proximity to universal but spend the extra money and stay at a universal hotel. Needs knocked down or Major update"

"Nathan just delivered us an EXCEPTIONAL service at the reception – his attentiveness just made us get more excited about staying here. Great location and clean rooms. The staff were able to answer all our questions about the parks and surroundings. The restaurant has good service too. Would come back again; thank you, Nathan & team!"

"I don’t understand the negative reviews on this place. This hotel has incredible quality for such an economical price.The lobby is beautiful; it even has a restaurant there! They were not lying about the hot tub and pool There is even a basketball court and lounge! Some of the only problems are thin walls, meaning you can hear your neighbor’s TV and all that. The room service is good, it comes every day. The rooms are beautiful. It is so close to all the attractions like Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, and Sea World, so it has excellent location. I love this place and I think it was worth coming."
