"This is not a hotel, it’s a motel with a lot of issues like the constant musty smell, poor customer service, dirtiness of facilites. They also refuse to keep hold your luggage after check out. One day we came back to the room after exploring the city to find our door open. When we brought it up to the front desk staff, they just said I’m sorry. Now I realized that this wasn’t the first time as others have also said that in reviews here. The only good thing about this place is the location. I’ll never go back there."

"Yes, it is near the beach but it's bewildering to me how Seaside All Suites Hotel manages to maintain a 3.9-star rating. This establishment feels like a relic from a bygone era, plagued with issues such as mold, rust, unpleasant odors, and shockingly poor WIFI connectivity, clocking in at a mere 2 Mbps. Despite the presence of personnel in the lobby, attempting to contact them via phone yields no response. The surrounding area only compounds the dissatisfaction, with views of homeless individuals and unsavory characters roaming about, creating an unsettling atmosphere. Furthermore, the lack of secure parking forces guests to navigate the challenging task of finding their own spot in public parking areas. In all honesty, I cannot recommend this place unless you find yourself with no other viable options. The overall experience falls far short of expectations, making it difficult to comprehend how it attains its current rating."

"This would’ve gotten closer to a 1 if it wasn’t for the flexible check in time. I booked a room right behind where I had an Airbnb with some friends for a few days prior to my stay here. I asked if I could check in around 11 instead of 3 and they allowed it (super friendly) but I had to take an Uber to the motel that they had arranged. Once there, the room was almost unbearably musty smelling. Very quick to run out of hot water for a show as well. I’m really happy it was only one night because it’s really just a foul smelling room. Absolutely not worth what I paid. Like I said though, the staff were friendly and flexible."

"The customer service is terrible. The rooms are not cleanly and smell of mildew. There were wet spots in the ceiling as well. We had issues regarding our key working for our hotel room. We were reissued keys on multiple occasions and had to wait for the front desk worker to walk the 2 blocks to let us in, while we stood in the pouring rain. We were told that maintenance would be coming the next day to fix the key reader. We left for the day and were issued new room key cards. However, when we returned that night, the key reader continued not to work despite someone having come to "fix" it. We then had to wait 30 minutes for an on-call maintenance person to come and look at it again. The front desk person came with 4 different cards didn't work. He then pulled an additional card which looked different than all of the others we had attempted to use throughout our stay that did end up working, likely one that was a "master key." When calling to receive a partial refund for the hassle we were told "we don't issue refunds for anything but you never know." I've attempted to contact the manager for 8 days and have had no response. There are PLENTY of other options in the area and truly don't recommend staying anywhere associated with South Beach Group."

"My husband and I tried staying at this place. To their credit, they allowed us to check in about 2H early but they, apparently, did not communicate that with the cleaning staff. When we arrived at the room, the cleaning staff asked we that give them time to the room. We were definitely thankful for that, despite the apparent communication error. The room looked nice. There was a stove top range, microwave, pots and pans, a small fridge and cool selection of movies. It also smelled clean (like bleach was used in the cleaning) but neither the windows nor the shades were working properly; then we discovered the toilet was backing up and not flushing; which made me wonder if the toilet bowl had been scrubbed and flushed in the cleaning mentioned earlier. We told the front desk and the maintenance guy was sent. One of his first questions was whether the toilet was smelling/smelly - and he didn't bring a plunger. My husband suggested a plunger and he came back, plunged and it flushed. About 11pm, however, when we came back from being out and about, we walked into sewer gas smells in the room. It was sickening, nauseating and difficult to sleep with. We told the 24H front desk person who came to the room, acknowledged there was a bad smell and said there was nothing else she could do for that room but offer some (ineffective) air refreshener because she did not have any maintenance staff at that time of night. Why advertise having a 24H desk but have no maintenance person on call?? She showed us another room we could possibly use IF the person who reserved it did not check in. That room didn't smell of sewer gas had but it sure did smell badly in a different way. We had to settle for sleeping in the original room. We tried opening the window we could open and prayed no bugs/rodents crawled into the room. Close to check out time, after managing to get some sleep, I called the front desk to report our awful experience the night before, how difficult it had been to sleep there and to ask that we be offered a 1pm check out at no cost so we could leave our bags there while we, at least, go get things done (like get brunch, visit the nearby beach etc.). I was, basically, told that they never had that complaint before and, because we didn't say anything until late at night (when we actually walked in and realized sewer gas smells had filled the room), they couldn't accommodate the request. It just felt like the management blamed us rather than take more responsibility. Thankfully, we had only booked one night and found better accommodations elsewhere."
