Riviera Suites South Beach

"CHARGED FOR MINI BAR ITEMS WE DIDN’T USE!! My daughter and I stayed for 4 nights. The hotel is musty smelling likely due to it being an old building that has been renovated. On the first night we saw a huge COCKROACH in the elevator, so opted for the stairs the rest of the stay. The room was comfortable but had a broken coffee machine that wasn’t replaced after I mentioned it to the front desk. There were snacks and a mini bar that we intentionally didn’t touch. And yet after checking out part of the deposit was held back. When I called to inquire I was told we were charged for a Gatorade and a cranberry juice, mysterious since these items weren’t part of the mini bar offerings to begin with!!! I complained and asked for that money to be refunded. I was told the manager would contact me to resolve the issue. I’ve heard nothing since. BEWARE! Check your receipt (I had to call to ask for a receipt as they didn’t automatically send one!) I think of the thousands they make every year by stealing a few dollars from every guest! DO NOT RECOMMEND."

"Absolutely love this hotel. Amazing staff that goes out of your way to make you feel comfortable. We checked into our hotel 2 hours early and Gabi and Chrisi upgraded us to a suite! It absolutely made our vacation magical!! Amazing rooftop pool as well!!"

"At first I was a little skeptical for booking this hotel. When we came in and saw the room all the skepticism went away. We originally got one bed queen room but was upgraded to a king suite by the nice front desk staff. Gaby at the front desk was very nice and answered all of our questions that we had about the hotel and area. Rooms were clean with great décor. Our room was just like it was in the photos. There were a couple negatives about the hotel thought. Our room the floor board creaked a little in one area, but what can you ask for in older hotel. The other thing was that the pool areas weren't that great. There was some stuff in the upstairs pool and used towels in some of the chairs. The downstairs one isn't that much better. But if your going to Miami beach for a pool you probably shouldn't go to Miami beach. Location was really close to the beach and you could rent towels from the fount desk if you forgot your, which we did. Over all great hotel for the price would defiantly stay again if in the area."

"I had a delightful stay at Rivera Suites; the staff was exceptional. Despite arriving before my check-in time, they efficiently guided me, offering information on the nearest luggage storage and food options. While waiting for my room, they granted access to two pools. The rooms were impeccably clean, well-furnished, and the mini bar was a pleasant surprise. Alicia and Gaby provided outstanding service, enhancing my overall experience. The rooftop pool was especially fantastic. Additionally, the hotel's proximity to a strip of restaurants and convenience stores, all within walking distance, added to the convenience and enjoyment of my stay."
