Motel 6 Bradenton, FL

"Me and my family were in need of a place to stay for a few weeks, and we found this Motel 6 because they were advertising a great "move-in" weekly special. I've never stayed at a Motel 6 before but this was super last-resort and we really didn't have any other options. Starting with the good: Rachel and Cheyenne at the front desk were phenomenal. The location was great for our needs and close to several stores. The beds were surprisingly comfortable! The refrigerator worked great and the shower had great water pressure. The bad: After 1 week, the price went up by $100! Which was VERY significant for us. They said they were "no longer offering that special". I felt super mislead and disappointed because literally the ONLY reason we came here was for the low rate. Again, we didn't really have any other options, so we stayed and paid the price, but I was really unhappy with this. The room was mostly clean but the floor was filthy and turned our feet black. We had to go out and buy cleaning supplies so the room would feel cleaner during our stay. I also had to buy an air freshener because it always smelled bad no matter what we did! The biggest issue was that even though the hotel claims to be non-smoking, the bathroom was constantly filled with the smell of either cigarette or marijuana smoke. We had to keep the door closed at all times. I complained a few times but nothing was ever done. Other guests would smoke right outside of the door and the smell would come in through the a/c unit so we'd just keep it off most of the time. Also, no housekeeping services are offered, so we had to make our own beds. Not a huge deal because I know you get what you pay for but it was just a little strange. Then again, we usually stay at Hiltons, so...yeah. Lastly, there is a major roach problem here. I get it, we're in the south. But one day we moved our refrigerator unit over a few inches and at least 7-10 roaches went scattering all over the place. It was DISGUSTING. On the plus side, the maintenance guy who came in and sprayed roach spray was really really kind and I appreciated how he spoke to our 6 year old - so sweet! Overall, this Motel 6 served its purpose for my family, but it wasn't a great experience and I won't be staying at another one."

"The price was not worth it at all! It was a last resort choice and definitely did not have a safe and secure feeling in this motel. The shower was severely damaged and dirty looking so we didn’t even attempt to use it, the fridge was working but had a dead roach in it, one of the beds did not have a blanket and when we called and asked for one, the staff said they did not have one bc of restorations, and there was no trash can in the room so we had to make our own."

"Found the room, unsafe. Shower and faucets were not working properly doors would not lock or latch missing hardware. An HVAC unit not maintenance very loud. Traffic was very loud. Didn’t get any sleep that night. Would I recommend this hotel to anyone at this moment at time until they do their repairs and cleanup."

"The Staff is so nice and personable. All the way down to the house keeping andmaintenance personnel. Ms, Joy was so helpful and kind, she really made our experience easy and memorable. I wish she could be cloned and sold to all motel/hotels. Thank you all for the wonderful stay. We'll be back."

"Checked in and noticed roaches few hours later. Asked for another room, which they did give me, just to find out it had more roaches than the first room. I checked out and am waiting for for my full refund to go back on my card. If you like roaches, this is the place for you!! The sheets were stained and the bottom of the tub was very badly chipped up. Worst motel I have ever stayed at and the only one I have ever left right away!!"
