Hyatt Place Orlando/Lake Buena Vista

"Our first stay with a dog as part of our family; but certainly not our first hotel stay, especially in this area. This was a hit for our family, pet or no pet. Every single staff person I encountered was extremely friendly! Place clean overall. The little dog walk area off to the back/side could use some attention more often. Otherwise place and room were in very clean and cared for condition. Breakfast was a hit with our family. Room was both super spacious and comfortable. We slept very well. Didn’t use shuttle service as we used our own car, but it is offered. Our beautiful dog was extremely happy and comfortable here. We highly recommend and absolutely would stay here again. "If all you care about is being close to Disney World, then this place is for you. It’s clear and obvious that this Hyatt hotel is not the standard and they’re ok with it because they’re close to Disney and are relying on families staying anyways. The good: The room is very spacious, and had plenty of room for all of us to spread out. The beds were comfy, and everything was clean. The bad: the water pressure in the shower was terrible, and the hot water inconsistent. Most of the time it never went above warm, but then all of a sudden it would turn really hot for a few minutes and go back to barely warm. The ac in the room worked great so that’s a plus, but it is so loud. The first night we didn’t realize that’s what the noise was, it was so loud we thought it must’ve been road noise from outside and the windows were thin. But no, that’s how loud the ac fan runs, which of course you need it running because this is Florida and you need ac all times of day. The breakfast was a joke. The same items everyday, which would be fine if they were at least good. Powdered scrambled eggs, one option of either sausage or ham, tortillas which were empty most of the time, and the absolute worst French toast I’ve ever eaten before. I took a picture of how thin it was, and it had no flavor at all besides bread. I might as well have taken it and put it in the toaster myself. It was the cheapest breakfast spread I’ve seen in a hotel and definitely did not match the standard of any other Hyatt place I’ve stayed in. I won’t be staying again, there’s so many options in the area there’s no need to come back."

"I was going to rate a 4/5 based on quality however, after having breakfast here a few days and issues with customer experience, I am lowering to 3/5 and would not stay here again. I typically love Hyatt's but this one is skimping on important amenities. One being the breakfast is terrible. Made both me and my partner sick two days in a row. Low quality and not many options. The second issue I have is with the shuttle system. We planned on using the complimentary shuttle to Epcot. The shuttle did not pick us up at 9:30 pm like we were promised. Despite showing up early and waiting almost 2 hours. So we had to find an Uber instead. On top of the hotel using a 3rd party service, the staff was very rude when I tried to give them feedback on the poor service and told me to call the company. Well guess what? I don't want to have to complain to the desk, then to travel services the next morning, and then some 3rd party that does not care about me. Not service I expect from a Hyatt...yikes. also the Hyatt person on the service desk was very rude to me. Spend a bit more and go to a 4 star hotel that has a dedicated shuttle service."

"The location, service, and complimentary shuttle and breakfast were all great things. Rooms felt clean and beds were comfortable. The main issue (and yes it was that bad) is that the sound insulation was horrible because the walls are so thin. There was a Hispanic family in the room over and I think I'm fluent in Spanish now. If you happen to bring ear plugs, this is nice no frills hotel."

"This is a really nice hotel with spacious rooms and nice facilities. The rooms are fully air conditioned and have heating too. The breakfast is average and only offers a very small selection. They offer toast, bagel, sausage or scrambled egg. There is space for more choice for example a waffle maker and I understand it is a free breakfast but it wasn't nice at all. The beds are quite comfy and there is a fridge available. Good location. Overall we enjoyed our stay here."
