"This was a scam. I booked on my way here. Had a confirmation number. There was no room available for me. Guy was sitting up on the counter and was rude by laughing at "do ya at least have a nice room for me. He said the computer here doesn't take confirmation number. Don't go here. There was a charge that was removed. Place still showed they had rooms available."

"Stayed in a studio suite - an oversized hotel room with a full kitchen. The room was clean with a balcony view of the gulf. The location is on the quiet side of PCB, which is nice due to the construction by 79 on Front Beach Road. Coffee is served in the lobby. There is a heated pool but no hot tub. The WIFI in the room is so bad you will have to go to the lobby to get a good signal. The staff is very friendly and helpful."

"My honest opinion, you can take what I say or go there at your own risk. Looks can be deceiving. I didn’t like the fact I paid my hard earned money, I’m not gone say all but some are rude to their customers when you ask to see the room before you decide to stay there. I get that it’s no five star, but excellent customer service is very important 5 stars or not. Stayed for a week and a few days in I endured roaches, which I believe they have an infestation. But hey if you enjoy cheaper prices,only house keeping when you ask and roaches damn near soon as they smell you cook or any type of food you have to look over your shoulder. I wouldn’t recommend only if you are on a budget and you have no other choice. Lastly Parking is very tight they do have parking across the street."

"Loved the room with walk out to the beach! Room was clean and adequately stocked with towels, washcloths, hand towels and kitchen supplies(plates, bowls, etc) AC worked fine, water pressure in shower was fine. There was friendly staff in the office. I only had one issue which was taken care of immediately- only one chair out on our patio and someone had spilled half their meal on it and the patio. I asked for a clean chair and additional so we could sit out there together. Within 20 minutes was done. Location is in a less crowded area and farther than we usually stay. The drive into the most populated area we like(Long Beach) is a bit of a drive. However, we still enjoyed it so much and it's somewhat closer to Pier Park and Sharkeys than we are used to so we spent time there. Thomas' Donuts is close by too! Bonus was the Pirate Fest at Pier Park during our stay...such fun! We would definitely stay at Sugar Sands again!! The first pic is from inside our room - great ground floor view!"

"The air conditioner in the main bedroom did not work. We called the front desk and they said maintenance would come look at it. But he never came, so we called a second time. They finally sent up a tiny desk fan. The room was hot all night long. Hardly can get any sleep because of it. The door to the balcony didn't lock. The door to the room you had to shut hard. so you could shut it and lock it. There were no extra blankets or pillows for the pull-out bed. The pool was nice and we enjoyed it. It had a nice view of the ocean. Be careful with the elevator it takes forever to get up and down. I would advise taking the stairs for safety and it's faster."
