"Dr. Konsker & his team are AMAZING. Last year around this time (November) I went in for a normal pap-smear and it was found out that I had a giant tumor in my uterus that was over 2 lb. Besides the main tumor, I also had other tumors. It had caused me such pain, made me frequent the bathroom, and made me look 'pregnant'. Every other doctor I went to about this said that they would need to take my uterus, but Dr. Konsker examined me and said I would keep it, much to my amazement. A month before my surgery my pre-op showed I had a 5-hemoglobin level due to the tumor and me essentially bleeding out each month with my period. Even though my periods were bad, I had no clue how bad I had gotten. Needless to say, I ended up having to get multiple blood transfusions to get me back up to a normal level. Every day at the hospital Dr. Konsker was checking up on me to make sure I was doing okay. When surgery finally happened, the team they found out that the tumor had been pushing up on my bladder so badly, it caused it to almost pop because of how thinly it was stretched. They quickly called a urologist in to ensure I was properly taken care of. I am so grateful not only to just be alive to enjoy my family, friends, etc., but also for Dr. Konsker and his team who had done such a FANTASTIC job taking care of me. They have truly changed my life. I now look normal, have more energy, and just feel so much gratitude for everything since my life could have ended and gone down a different path really quickly.
