"I DO NOT recommend Aurora medical, worst experience I’ve ever had in my life matter of fact I’ve never felt discriminated until I visited this place just based on my physical appearance. As soon as I walked in there wasn’t anyone in the front desk to greet me or redirect me on what the next steps would be. When I was finally acknowledged I was given paperwork to fill out. I was called back by a gentleman who looked at me judgmentally, I was seated in one of the rooms where the guy proceeded to ask me if the non-surgical/non-invasive procedure I had written down was the one I was interested in. He then broke down how the procedure worked and its benefits avidly explaining it had certain BMI restrictions of which apparently by my physical appearance I did not qualify according to him. I was never asked how much my weight was nor was I weigh in. He then said there are other services you can benefit from such as weighloss medication (Semiglutide)which I kindly declined. He then asked why I wasn’t interested in weighloss medication and I told him I had researched and there were certain side effects and risks I was not willing to put my body through, with a smirk he replied “well if a person starts reading about all of the side effects then no one would even take medicine for headaches”. I thanked him for his time and walked out. I am not a morbidly obese woman, I am over weight which is why I was looking at non surgical or non-invasive procedures in the first place. Although it made me feel bad, I am thankful to be mentally stable because a person that suffers from depression or mental illness could’ve been triggered to self harm. If you don’t want to be discriminated do yourself a favor and don’t consider this place. Also they should ask a potential patient if they prefer a female or male staff member due to personal or religious beliefs."
