"Just moved to Dade City recently and just had a pleasant surprise for lunch today. The locals eat here so it must be good...and it was. The food portions are great and we had a very friendly waitress. She seemed to know almost everyone by name. We will definitely be back. FYI only open for breakfast and lunch."

"The Black Eyed Peas is a good value for the money. Our drinks were huge! The Big Daddy burger was absolutely incredible and sharable for two. The waitress was friendly but it was strange that she was sitting at a table to take a family's order. We asked for ketchup packets. The waitress did provide them, but was argumentative about why we needed them. That was uncomfortable. The burger was put together with ingredients that we requested to be put on the side, like the pickes and the tomatoes. We had to separate our own plates to share. The ambiance is quaint, with country murals and small spaces for tables. Overall, it was a nice lunch and a good value for the money."

"Satisfying soul food on a Sunday. Ordered a take out veggie plate meal. Health is a value to me and this was a great meat-less meal was priced under $10. My veggies (fried okra, black eyed peas, greens, and Lima beans) were very well seasoned and full of flavor!!. I was surprised I didn’t even need any hot sauce. The hostess. Taylor (I learned there are two) was very welcoming and friendly. The hospitality here is worth visiting in this quaint Dade City town. If your driving down 301, consider slowing down to stop in for a meal which you will not regret. I was advised they are extending their hours even later to accommodate more folks. The fact they are open on a Sunday make it worth stopping in for brunch or lunch especially after a Sunday church service. I made the visit from neighboring Zephyrhills and I will come back to try the fried cabbage."
