"Well it's clean-ish and not the worst neighborhood. People down the hall were loud til after midnight and hotel staff did nothing. Hall smelled like Marijuana even though no smoking inside. No breakfast options included. Coffee was $7 for 2 cups plain, and tasted like cheap instant. Would not recommend as better options exist for the money"

"4 star hotels should not have 12-in rips in the center of the rug between the two parts of the room. They also should not have stained toilet bowls. I could never get the TV in the bedroom side to work. And when I went to their marketplace to get some milk at 11:30 pm, 12 out of 13 bottles of milk expired at midnight (30 min from then, and when I brought it to the front desk's attention I was immediately told " Yes we know. we do inventory everyday". That did not get me more than one little tiny bottle of milk as I refuse to buy ones that were expired at midnight. She was kind of cocky about it. Not at all apologetic. And for a four-star hotel, the selection at the marketplace was pretty limited for candy bars. They had four kinds and two of them were Almond joy and Mounds. And the area was sloppy with the shelves messy, and the drawers underneath with the backup food half open. I even looked in to see if there were other options for candy bars. Their was not. In a place where they're not going to have vending machines, they should have a better selection of snacks. The staff at the front desk when I checked in were excellent and cheerful. And my GPS brought me into the back of the hotel where it felt like I was going into a dark back alley. I almost missed the tiny little signs that showed me the entrance to the back of the parking area. Overall I guess I was disappointed because of the rating of four stars. I expected better."

"Me and the boys made the trek up to Syracuse to catch our favorite bluegrass group, Billy Strings, and we just happened to end up staying at the Collegian Hotel. We are so glad we did! The staff at the hotel was friendly and made us feel welcome right away. The price was very affordable and the room we reserved was just as described. Walking distance to local restaurants, and taxi/ride share are easily available. I would like to personally thank the Front Desk Supervisor David for ensuring that an expensive jacket I left behind in my hotel room closet was obtained - and shipped back to me in Pennsylvania. Next time I am in Syracuse, I will be staying at the collegian for sure!"

"This hotel was awesome! I was checked in by a nice gentleman that upgraded my room to a Studio Suite. The room was very spacious and it had a hallway closet, a dresser, king size bed, desk, large screen TV, couch, a bathroom with tub and shower, and a full size kitchen with a table, and a safe. The light fixture on the desk flickered, and the bathroom could have used sweep, but overall it was a great room. The bed was especially comfortable with fluffy pillows and sheets. The heat also worked wonders in this room. I was very pleased with my stay. The manager was very nice, and she held the door open for me as I was entering the building with my luggage. Some of the staff here have excellent hospitality management skills."

"Out of the shuffle of downtown but walkable within less than 30 minutes and also walkable to Syracuse university and other areas. Nice fitness center including a Peleton. Rooms were well kept, clean, and spacious. Not a luxury hotel or anything but for price was great and safe and was pleased with. Staff were top-notch including the front desk night shift (forgot to note his name!) and also Fred the shuttle driver. Lobby area is very nice and had lots of seating areas, work space, etc."
