Budget Inn Sanford Intl Airport

"I was charged twice for the room. When I was still there, I was told one of the charges would drop off. Now, five days later it is still on my card. Tried to contact them for 3 days. No answer. Letting my bank handle this."

"Too many people walking around in the night. They claim not to allow smokers yet there were guys smoking and walking. They only give you a few towels and soap for a week and 2 people. We got there at night and there were kids playing in the lobby alone and the woman that took care of us in the window was ignoring every question given to her. They also charge a very big deposit of $250 for a few days. The reservation was also too expensive for the location. Is not like we stood at Disney or near the beach."

"This place is disgusting. Stayed on September 10. The first room had bugs in it so we were moved. In the second room the phone didn’t work, the hair dryer didn’t work and you had to be right in front of the tv to get the remote to work. There’s an older lady that must live there. She was always lurking around. Uncomfortable"

"My wife has been dealing with the majority of this but this is what I've got . I have had enough and I want my money back . Are not from Sanford FL and arrived 12 minutes early for check in . The lady behind the counter instantly looked at the clock and told me to give her $30 or sit on the couch . I've literally never been treated like that in my life I am 65 years old . So apparently wasn't going to stay didn't feel safe . She told us that we booked through a third party even though we booked directly through their website . So we called said third party and canceled never received an email from either Budget inn or travlu . Had to call back budget inn and cancel even though they're scary staff made me not want to stay . Then today check my bank account and they have billed me not only for the room which the general manager said he had handled but over billed me for that room by 30 plus dollars . I call liar and thieves . It's not the money it's the principal . We have never been issued a receipt for the cancellation or for any of the money that they received today. Didn't even appear as a pending transaction it just posted to my account . Have called today several times asking for at least a receipt as to the charges much less the overcharges and now still nothing . Couldn't tell you why they are so uncomfortable giving me a receipt I would never stay here and I'm going to have to change my bank card I just know I will . Horrible place horrible staff . I've been trying all day for answers can't get take your money elsewhere . Couldn't tell you what the rooms look like wouldn't stay . Even though I was billed for the room plus that I didn't stay in because I was told to sit on a couch . Will be calling their corporate."
