"The fact that they have to setup the store as a maze to discourage snatch and grab thieves makes it slightly annoying - not their fault at all. Its a sad statement that the thieves are protected but the employees and paying clients arent."

"Lady working here straight up lied to my face. I made a large purchase and I was told I'd save 25% with a store credit card. I asked her multiple times if it would apply instantly and she said yes each time. The savings would be very significant so I went for it specially after she repeatedly told me the discount is applied that day and would apply to any other future purchases. Got my receipt and Guess what? No discount on the receipt!!! Just a blatant lying sales pitch to push store credit cards. Stay away from the lies. I worked retail before so I know they're required to push credit card applications plus they can get a bonus for it. I ended up returning the merchandise because of the dishonesty from the get go. Now I'm stuck with a credit card and never want to shop here ever again."

"Macy's is a great upscaled department store. Merchandise is of top shelf. Even better for a plush bathrobe listed at $ 70.00 and purchased it for $ 30.00 plus tax. I had to use my credit card or lose it, because I had not used it in better than a year. All is good."

"Wife and I went to the Clinique counter at the Boulevard Mall Macy's. She was told that her account had expired since it hadn't been used in a while. We were told by the consultant that if she opened a new account, she would get 20% cash back for 2 days purchases. We needed new kitchen pans and got a great deal."

"I bought this bathroom rug at Macys in the back stage department (I believe it's called that), brought it home, and washed it to hand to dry to use, cause I always wash new items) The only problem is when I opened the washer tons of pieces of fabric from the rug were all over my washer and when I pulled the rug out it was just shedding in pieces. I took the tag, receipt, and all the fabric that shredded off it to Macy's to return. I explained to the clerk what had happened. She stated she could not return an item that had been washed. Granted, this bathroom rug was only $12.00. It's still the fact of the matter that Macy's didn't want to stand up to their product. I'm very disappointed in Macy's! And wanted to warn others. I still have the rug and am considering taking it back in and speaking to a manager, but is it really worth my gas and time? To probably be told the same thing. Macy's needs to stand behind its products. Just if you buy from there, take caution, or better yet, go somewhere else that stands behind their products."
