"My Regional and District Managers are great people. They worked so hard to get me ready for success, and were available when I had any questions or concerns. However, it stops there. I was not informed of paying for my own hotel (which my last company paid for me), driving 100+ miles per day with no compensation (my last company also paid for this), and of the two mandatory meetings each day. It was sold to me as my “own business”, but then I had to start my day when they wanted, and end my day when they wanted. I was let go after missing one such meeting because a “State Manager” with short-man syndrome was there. It was after 10 o’clock at night. My place is at home with my family making more money, in an easier manner than this. The arrogance of the company and upper “management” and the culture it breeds is super unhealthy. They were not even man/woman enough to call me and see why I missed a meeting. They’d rather be cowards and take it out on the Regional and District managers. It was a great learning opportunity. Take everything you do and find something new to progress yourself. There’s a reason the company has less than 2 Stars for its rating. Be advised, and be intelligent before you commit."

"I am writing this review in response to the run around that I am getting from Washington National Insurance Company as I am trying to file for death benefits on a loved one. My Auntie paid her premium EVERY SINGLE MONTH beginning in 1981. Even after I reported to the company that she had passed and sent in all the required paperwork/documents, they continue to take money for premiums from her account. I am sure, from reading the reviews, we will never be reimbursed for that... No one EVER answers the phone, and when they do, they are rude and difficult to understand. I have reached out to this company several times, I am at a loss as to what to do...Now they are telling me that they no longer have her policy, it is administered by Alliance-One. I would never recommend this organization to anyone."

"Beware of this company. DO NOT USE THEM! They gave me misinformation when I signed up. Now, when I canceled my policy after never having it for several years, they continue to take premiums out of my check. Blamed it on my company’s payroll department and said they were responsible. Refused to refund premiums they’ve received for an inactive policy. I was not told this when I canceled the policy, nor was that in any paper I received from Washington National. Update: apparently, their definition of “immediate “ differs greatly from mine, as there has been no response to my two follow up emails and one phone call."

"We have been waiting on our payouts to go towards appointments, surgery and procedures. As well as the monthly payment for being out of work. This is the third month of waiting. The first two months each time we called they reported that they needed another form from the Doctor. Now over the past month, each time we call they say, it will be 10 business days. I would not recommend using this company for your accidental insurance needs."

"Stop telling everyone to email you so that their problems can be resolved. You only do that and respond to TRY and make yourself look better. My cousin's claim has been denied for help with her chemotherapy and that's totally unacceptable. Especially after she has paid on time premiums to your company for 30 years. Sounds like this company is in the scamming business. Just remember everything bad that you do usually comes back to you. Stop taking advantage of people! Have some morals for goodness sake. Do not recommend. Horrible customer service. Not even worth 1 star."
