"Not a great experience overall. They say they’ll buy stuff, but their “cash offer” is a total joke. Brought in plenty of things and they offered around a dollar or two for toys priced 20-30 dollars in the store. Didn’t take the deal. Lots of overpriced shoes. Reasonably priced clothes - may save a few dollars on brand names items. You’ll save a dollar vs Walmart. Will not be returning. A waste of time."

"Love having access to affordable items. Huge selection for clothing and baby/child care items and toys. However, I will NOT be bringing items to sell to them in the future. I appreciate not having to pay sales tax, but, was given $6 for 2 brand new items (unopened, still in box/packaging; Dr Brown bottle set and SkipHop fleece car seat cover)."

"I enjoy the selection of books, toys & holiday items. I do not enjoy the staff, except one lovely middle-aged woman who waited on me last visit. Two visits ago, I purchased over $150, as I did 3 other visits to this location. However, staff "service" was pathetic! They visited (about work to be accomplished that week) quite loudly from behind the counter; no one is EVER helping on the floor! Twice I've required staff assistance & was told to reach for the highly placed item myself, despite the fact that I'd stated I needed help with it! The other unfortunate shopping trip I had stacked, per 'policy' heavier & bulkier items (books & a toddler, play area safety pen) on the side shelf near the last register. I was unable to check out at that register due to the stores persistent clutter at the registers & was loaded right up when I finally reached the 3rd register down (having waited with all my heavy load for 10 minutes already, due to long lines.) I told the cashier about my items at the further end of the counters, assuming she'd go grab them for me on her side, where there weren't lines to try to push thru) ... well, you know what they say about "assuming," right?!? Yeah. She just stared, then glared at me when I didn't move to do it & again said my arms & back were killing me, couldn't she PLEASE help me & grab them for me... NOTHING! After a VERY uncomfortable minute, I just fought back thru each line TWO TRIPS due to the large number of items (MINIMAL SPACE in the lane ways in this store are SURELY a fire hazard?!?) &, by necessity, returned to that register for her to complete my sale. The surrounding customers honestly appeared equally mortified, having clearly witnessed her & my exchanges since we were all shoved tightly into the small register area.) I will say again that although the checkout area was equally hazardous my last visit, the cashier I had was splendidly helpful, understanding & engaging. She grabbed my similarly stacked items again at the 1st register side area (those of us who buy books 1st are destined to use this side shelf!) without hesitation! She even sold me an extra item at the counter! I will continue returning as I love the stores concept, choices & value. I truly wish they'd rent or purchase a much larger shopping area! I've been told there are vast amounts of items stored away, too, which boggles my mind as to why the owners wouldn't wish to strike sales while the iron is scorching hot, as they say! Please train your staff on the value & necessity of customer SERVICE. Please get into a larger, comfortable shopping space. Please (this is every visit I've had) make staff training & planning times BEFORE the store opens, ONLY WITH STAFF PRESENT. Then they'd not be ignoring shoppers to discuss staff assignments behind the counter. It's poor management."

"I've shopped here before and also sold items- typically it's great! Really no negatives there. However, I did have a negative experience when attempting to buy an item today. You can call and "hold" an item until end of business that day. Well...I did that. I called 1.5hrs ago (have the call log, called at 1:45pm and showed up around 3:15pm) and they said they'd put it on hold. I show up to pick it up and they had sold it. They said it was being sold AS I called to put it on hold- uhm...how would you know that and also why would I be told it'd be on hold then? Sounds to me like poor communication- as in, no one was told it was put on hold and then it was sold. It is what it is, I'll just buy one on Marketplace and everyone is happy. But very frustrating. If you offer a hold service, honor it. And make sure the item is available prior to telling a customer it is."
