"Stayed at this hotel for a recent work conference. The rooms are the main reason I give them 2 stars. One, hotel carpet is very outdated. Two, housekeeping took out the garbage and left new towels but that's it. Beds weren't made, they didn't vacuum in the rooms during my stay or actual clean anything either. Maybe they didn't have enough people to clean all the rooms since there was a conference going on, IDK. But having been though a pandemic, I would prefer a hotel that does actually clean the rooms a bit during the stay. The food at the hotel itself is good but it's ridiculously overpriced. A turkey burger & fries, a caesar salad, and a plate of 6 buffalo wings somehow came out to $66 without tip. Absolutely ridiculous. There is a Red Lobster and an Olive Garden across the street. You'll get more food at a better price at those establishments than the hotel. Its not worth it to eat in. Take advantage of the location and the many restaurants around instead. Also, I was initially excited for the little Starbucks they had but was soon disappointed. Not everyone who works there knows how to make espresso or use the espresso machine. I had ordered an iced latte and I could tell he just put straight coffee from a pot over the ice with some milk. If he didn't know how to make it, I would've ordered something else but he didn't tell me. So that was a waste of money."

"I don’t know who the new General Manager is but the changes at this property are significantly noticeable. I visit this property several times a month while on business so I’m happy to see that someone is finally giving this hotel the attention and care that it needs. I look forward to seeing what’s next. Keep up the great work."

"Definitely a very dated hotel and rooms require some very much needed TLC. Internet isn't free for rooms not reserved directly via Marriott's reward program. My shower had two temperatures - cold as ice and surface of the sun - I struggled get the something in the middle. Breakfast was terrible with the worst coffee I have had in years. Save yourself $$ and just go to the cafe where you can get a Starbucks freshly made coffee and a something from their food selection at a 1/4 of the price and 10 times better. People were friendly it's just a very depressing hotel."

"Out of all the hotels I have stayed at this was by far the best for hospitality and great staff. I have been here three nights for a conference. The staff at the front desk (even as I type this sitting outside) always go out of their way to talk to me and others. They are so personable, happy and kind. The evening shift and overnight crew are who I have had the most interaction with and they are ABSOLUTELY wonderful. I truly hope that they are appreciated and rewarded as they are great! The day shift crew are just as good but I haven't had that much interaction as I'm busy in conference. Even as I sit here typing this the woman going of shift right now at 11pm from front desk made a point to chat and say goodnight while I sit outside! great staff great experience all around... Great job Albany Marriott for hiring some great staff!"

"This hotel is fine. The room had significant signs of wear, including chipped paint, scratches on furniture, and stains on towels/bedding. There were hairs in the shower, and the lights flickered in an unpleasant manner. The walls were quite thin. I could hear our neighbor taking a shower. The staff were pleasant though, and the lobby was pretty. This hotel is quite close to the airport and a large variety of shopping and restaurants. If you are there for a quick stay or a business trip, it's acceptable. Since I was in town visiting family, I'd prefer to stay somewhere else."
