Lauren, the owner, was a terrific resource for local hiking trails and great restaurants including the Buttercup Cafe in Barnstable Village which was just a mile walk. "We've been staying at the Lamb and Lion Inn for multiple years now and can't imagine staying anywhere else on the Cape. It's become tradition at this point. We love the location (mid-Cape), the overwhelming kindness and hospitality of the staff, and the unique New England charm of all the rooms. Our dog Isaac absolutely loves his stays here (the yard is so large and he loves running around). If bringing your pup along with you to be a part of your memories, then look no further than the Lamb and Lion Inn. It's so important to us to have him along with us on these trips, and I can't thank the Lamb & Lion Inn enough for giving us the ability to do so!"
"We had to book a midweek two night stay with two teenagers and a dog - so so happy that we found the Lamb and Lion. The inn is charming and quiet, a perfect Cape vibe. We stayed in the Lamb’s Retreat and it worked perfectly for our two teenage boys who need their own space and sleep spaces after a family day. We were able to walk - with our dog - to the beach and through the extensive trails across the street. Lauren is the perfect host and went out of her way to make our stay perfect. My only regret in writing this outstanding review is now everyone will know about it and it will get hard to book. :)"
