"I stayed at Cape Harbor for work, a total of 3 weeks. The rooms are clean, well equipped and the property quiet. Just what I was looking for! And the staff were lovely, accommodating, helpful, professional. Great location too. Close to beach and all the Cape May sites. Five stars, for my home away from home! Definitely will book again."

"For Cape May proper it was the most affordable we found but, the condition of the room and facilities suffer from a lack of maintenance. The air conditioner was, sorry to say, filthy, looking like it had not been vacuumed in months and the bedroom smelled of mildew. I cleaned the AC filter myself but it really needed more than that. Thick dust on numerous surfaces. Bathroom door knob practically falling off. Toilet too small. Terrible lighting in main room. BBQ grills a bit dirty but nothing a little attention with an SOS cleaning pad couldn't fix - maintenance. Over grown shrubbery and trees in back yard and discarded rusting equipment lying around. NO AMBIANCE! The pool is the only thing well maintained. Lack of simple and diligent maintenance all round."

"This is a nice little motel for a short stay in the area with a good price value. The owners were also very accommodating. We were not able to make it to the hotel until after 12:30 am and they were willing to stay up and wait for us so we could get check in to our room. We really appreciated that. The room was clean and a good location. Not right in the center of the busy town but close enough to walk, drive, or take the shuttle into town or the beach. The room was nice and clean. It was also spacious for two people with a good amount of counter and storage space. However, the motel does need some updating, including better towels, bedding, and pillows. The room and hotel decor is fairly outdated or worn out as well. Some updating would really bring the motel up to the next level. It did have a nice outdoor sitting area on the second level and the pool was nice and clean with a lot of seating. I would recommend this hotel for a couple or a family with small children to stay for a few days or a week. It doesn't have all of the modern amenities but that is a part of it's charm. It does give you a bit of the "Back to the Future" feel to it, but that is not a bad thing. We really enjoyed our stay."

"I booked by directly calling them and reserved a first floor standard room (they have efficiencies too). Never realized how much more affordable it is than when booking through a travel site. Employees are nice. Staff in the office were always cheerful and friendly. Other employees I encountered, like housekeeping, always made eye contact, smiled, said "good morning" and "hello." The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. My room was very clean. Fridge worked well. Ice machine a few doors away was awesome. Some of the furniture needs upgrading but it didn't bother me. I didn't use the towels (I had my own) but they looked very thin. My room didn't have a bath mat and I kept forgetting to ask for one. Oh, so yep, I used 1 of the towels as a bath mat. AC worked but was a little noisy. I still slept really well - mattress was excellent (firm but not hard). Although unseasonably cool, a few nights the air quality wasn't that great because of the wildfires in Canada and only used the AC on those nights. Full Disclosure: When I was a kid (45 yrs ago) my family stayed here a few times because our aunt and uncle lived a few blocks away. At that time it was owned by a different family. The pool looked really nice (as I remembered). New pool side chairs and tables with colorful umbrellas. It was unseasonably cool (1st-2nd week June 2023) so I didn't take a dip. Bed linens were very nice. Water pressure was excellent. Only 1 time (evening around 10 pm) I had to wait 30 minutes for hot water. Could use new pillows but 2 together worked fine for me. A few other things....Cape May Motor Inn is easily 50% less than other hotels/motels in CM. Easy parking. My room had both a flatscreen TV and a new coffeemaker but I never used either. I was travelling solo and felt safe at CHMI. Door lock (key entry) seemed secure. Window locks looked secure too. Location is close to the Coast Guard Base and the Marina (The Lobster House). So you are a few miles from the historic area/Washington Mall. You'll have to drive or call a cab. Walk to the beach is 12-15 minutes, or just drive. All in all an excellent value for a stay in beautiful, gorgeous, quaint and charming Cape May."
