"After reading other reviews we were hesitant to book.We stayed one night on our way to Ocean City. We chose room one to be close to unpacking our car.We were pleasantly surprised to find a beautiful suite! VERY clean,and fresh!We are two seniors who would return in a heart beat!"
"A diamond in the rough! The gentleman behind the counter was pleasant. The place is older but kept if you ask me. We stayed only one night for the holiday but I will certainly keep them in mind for future visits....And for Cape May, the rate was great!"
"First things first it's old. You're gonna get some old building stuff. But it's been clean quiet and the service has been wonderful allowing us to check in after hours or rescheduling if needed. My wife and I have been staying here almost annually the weekend before Thanksgiving since 2016 and each stay has been just as pleasant at the last. Theres so much to do in cape may sometimes all you need is a place to rest your head that won't break the bank. Colton checks all those boxes for me and then some and I'll be staying again in the future."
"Asked to see a room ( to be on the safe side ) . Room ok but the person at the desk was a deal breaker. Very nasty. He said if you don't like the place go next door. That's what we did. Staying next door at the Sea Crest Nice friendly people here. Glad I left the Colton"
"My husband and I were nervous when we saw the reviews but booked anyway because it was the only place available for our budget. We're so glad we did! Our room was on the second floor and arguably had the best view of the ocean. The motel is definitely a bit worn and the more you look the more you see. However, our room was clean, functional, and the kitchenette was adorable. We did not experience the bad smell others have mentioned and we wonder if there's a group of rooms elsewhere that may have the problem instead. Our service was great! Beverly was incredibly kind to let us reschedule our dates, more than once, due some scheduling conflicts on our end. Overall, would absolutely book again, specifically for the view we had. Couldn't get enough of that view!"
