"My first time in Cape May and it couldn't have gone any better. This hotel was beautiful, the ocean front room was perfect with a balcony to listen to the music in the courtyard on Friday and Saturday night after dinner. Staff was so helpful with any questions we had. Will definitely be back"

"Hello, I just spent several days at La Mer with two other couple (6 people in total) . The hotel is beautiful, clean, updated, and the staff is awesome. This hotel is not in the center of town which made it more relaxing. It is away for the crowds. It is walking distance to the center of town. The beach and service at the beach was excellent. I neglected to get his name but he was so friendly. He worked hard to move all the chairs and umbrellas for me. We had Toni as our breakfast server for most of the morning's and she also served at the pool, which is heated and was at the perfect temperature and refreshing. Toni is one of the best servers I have come across. She was funny and very attentive. I want to give a shout out of Josh our bartender. Again, another very attentive staff member. Our housekeeper Grigoria Kochevs was awesome. She keep the room VERY clean and always made sure the room was made up. She was quick and efficient. The drinks were fantastic and so was the food. I had breakfast everyday and it was right on the money. The eggs benedict were exceptional. This was my first trip to Cape May but not my last. I forgot to mention that we rented a golf cart to get around and left our cars parked. Such a fun way to get around. I will be back and will recommend your hotel to anyone who will listen. Thanks for a great few days!"

"Overall we enjoyed our stay ; however for the high price point and comparing to options, I would have to rethink staying again. I was looking for a place to celebrate my fathers birthday for a father daughter trip . The reviews for La Mer were good and one of the only places with a room accommodating beds for three people with a kitchen . Pros - Very clean place , sizable rooms - nice pool but we didn’t use as there were a lot of kids and my dad wanted something a bit more peaceful . Most chairs were also reserved by 9 am - Super friendly staff especially front desk , beach servers and beach attendants - beach tags includes and beach service - great menu on the beach and very good for lunch . Cons - Even after requesting a birthday recognition multiple times at the restaurant for my dad, nothing was done . - There are limited options for food nearby and the restaurant inside has a limited menu with high price point - Given the price and style of the restaurant there should be a reasonable dress code established . We were having a celebratory dinner next to a group in sweat shorts , hoodies, ripped tanks and etc . I’m Not trying to be a snob but this is not what I expected from the ambiance. - the distance to the Main Street shops is quite far , it would be nice to have a shuttle service like some of the other hotels in the area . Be prepares to walk or hunt for 30 min for a parking spot - not a huge thing but the entrance to the hotel is on the back of the property , to me or was strange to be removed from the front area … like I said , might just be me. There are other places that have beach service , and similar accommodations with a wider menu restaurant , shuttle service and a. Nice common terrace with an ocean view. This will be the way we look in the future ."

"Stayed here over Fathers' day weekend. Rooms were great. Clean and very comfortable. We got a kitchenette with a 3/4 sized fridge + king size bed, and a view of the beach. Beach was literally across the road. So location was perfect for me. There's a restaurant with pretty decent breakfast. We didn't try them for dinner so can't comment on that. Minor inconvenience for me was the lack of room service. You could still order and collect at the restaurant. Normally not an issue but that weekend I was injured and after walking to the beach and back I was in some discomfort. So room service would have been nice. Staff; friendly and helpful they were great. I liked that they offered a crib for the room. Very family friendly. Keep forgetting to take pics for these reviews"
