"Extremely disappointed in Southport. Two techs came out to do a routine tune up of the furnace. The furnace was running fine when they got there and throughout the maintenance check. When the techs left my home, I noticed that the house was a little cooler than normal, but I didn't really think much of it, since we had the doors open for some cleaning. The next day, Saturday, I found the thermostat read 54⁰ for the house temperature even though the heat was set for 64⁰. I sent my husband to the basement to check the furnace and he found that the techs had not turned the furnace back on when they left. He turned it on, the heat kicked in, and turned off after only running for about a minute and started throwing error codes. We called Southport to have someone come out to determine what the techs had missed, but were told that Southport does not offer emergency support on weekends and that no one would be able to come out until Monday at the earliest. This is March in Wisconsin. The nights are cold and we were concerned about freezing pipes. We were not willing to risk that much damage to our house because they couldn't be bothered to come out and fix a machine they had just serviced. We called a different company, were charged their weekend emergency dispatch fee, and were told after a 30 second inspection that the Southport techs had failed to reconnect the ignitor switch to the pilot light and had reversed the polarity on a capacitor when they had serviced the furnace. We will NEVER have them back to do any sort of repairs or service again."

"Had a pipe leaking in the wall and ceiling of our basement. Decided to call Southport Home Service because they're local, have great reviews, give free estimates, and charge a flat rate (not by the hour) according to their listing. So glad I did. The young man (hate that I didn't take down his name), who was very kind and courteous, arrived on time, explained the issue and quoted what it would cost to fix it. We agreed to the quoted price, which we thought was fair, and he fixed it there on the spot. We've had no problems with his job. We will definitely be calling them with any future home issues."

I will be using Southport Home Services again. I had different plumber from another place last week and he did not fix the problem. Joe got right to fixing it. He respected my home and cleaned up after he was done. Great job!"

"Personable and professional. Solid looking work, done fast. I can say nothing bad about Andrew and his work today. He put in a new sump pump and a new backup pump for me. Saved me cursing and yelling for 1-2 days and likely 10 trips to the hardware store for parts. Money well spent! I would definitely be happy to have Andrew work on my house again!"
