Kitsap County Guillemot Cove Nature Reserve

Please note that there are no restroom facilities available at this site and animals are not allowed in the park. Public shellfish harvesting is also prohibited. The trail system within the nature reserve may change slightly over time due to the flow of creeks through the estuary. Visitors can enjoy various trails such as the Main Access Trail, Sawmill Trail, Margaret Trail, Stump House Trail, Maple Tree Trail, River Trail Loop, Beach House Trail, and Ridge Trail. The history of Guillemot Cove dates back to 1939 when the Reynolds family discovered the area and eventually purchased the property, preserving it as a nature reserve. The family spent years restoring the land and building structures such as the Stump House and beach house. In 1993, the property was sold to the Trust for Public Land to ensure its protection and conservation. Visitors can now enjoy the beautiful scenery and rich history of Guillemot Cove Nature Reserve. To reach the nature reserve, take Hwy 3 to the Newberry Hill exit, travel to Seabeck Holly Road, then Miami Beach Road, and finally Stavis Bay Road. Drive 4.5 miles to the entrance and parking lot to begin your nature adventure.
