The Meadows Apartments

"We just signed a lease for another year because the upstairs neighbors finally moved out. The noise was unbearable at times. There is no sound barriers between floors. Luckily the new tenants that moved in are very nice and considerate (we hope they stay). This was supposed to be a review regarding maintenance. I put in a service request for the hot water handle last night. Brandon was at the door this morning to fix it. Any service request I have put in over the years have been taken care of on the next business day. Brandon is amazing! Very knowledgeable and efficient."

"I've been here going on 12 years now and they may not be the fanciest apartments around but they're relatively quiet and safe plus maintenance is on point. Just put in a call for service because the AC drain was stopped up. Seriously 5 minutes later they swing by to fix it. Great job y'all."

"I am scheduled to move in very soon and am so excited! Angel really helped me out the most and Taylor has also been very helpful and just the other week got to meet both of them when touring the apartment complex for the first time before moving in. Since I signed the lease sight-unseen (despite looking at pics online and GoogleEarth) I was a bit nervous. But the area is actually pretty nice! Near a pretty busy road that I noticed doesn't have street lights (not used to seeing that in NOVA). Parking situation is a bit cramped but lots of offstreet parking options on a wide road so you most likely dont have to worry about your car getting hit if you cant find a space within the complex. Taylor also emphasized on my tour any residents will absolutely be towed if parked in visitor (V) parking and any visitor parked in resident parking. You get one visitor pass included but can buy more for the length of your lease. You also get a parking sticker. Gym 24/7, Pool is small but nice and clean, small grill area outside leasing office. Small childrens park/play area. I also noticed in my building there are lots of bees and wasps in the area (There are many dead on floors/stairs of walkway). I do not know exactly where they are coming from but since the entire walkways are wooden I am guessing it is a spider and bee/wasp paradise. Noticeable spiderwebs in the stairwell make me queasy since I am scared of all creepy crawlies. NOTE: have not read of ANY pest reviews/complaints to do with this complex which is why I chose this place! 1BD/1Bath Space is super cute and fairly accurate to the floorplan provided on the website BUT the cabinets and countertops are not that white laminate with wood outline (ew), instead cabinets are solid wood and are super cute and the countertops are one of those faux marble laminate countertops but looks much better than the space pictured online. Since I am 3rd floor the ceilings are a bit higher so I like that. The balcony is super cute but definitely, a splinter waiting to happen. The super bonus is that there are some outdoor electrical outlets to help light up the space. The apartment has LOTS of closet space I am talking enough for regular clothes, linens and then outdoor/coat closet. The laundry room is also really nice has a full wall of storage shelves with the full W/D. Kitchen appliances are a nice fridge (not stainless steel), induction stove/oven, dishwasher, no microwave included. Kitchen has lots and lots of storage and very deep cabinets/shelves also a double sink. Counter space is a bit tight but it is good enough for me. Kitchen also has a breakfast bar which I really like but since the apartment is fully carpeted it kinda defeats the purpose of it as a place to sit and eat, more for decoration. Small dining room with ceiling fan next to the kitchen and is super cute, its also open to the living room. Living room is cute and spacious enough I just have to see how my furniture looks in the space. Bedroom should be able to fit a Queen comfortably as well as two smaller nightstands. One complaint is that the bedroom doesn't come with overhead light, only overhead lights are in kitchen, dining, laundry, one closet, and bathroom. Bathroom directly attaches to room and has full tub/shower. Overall, I still have to see how much I like the apartment once I live there but the area seems nice and the leasing agents are very helpful if you just give them a call and a reasonable explanation of your circumstances. Rent is very convenient for the area and also the only utilities you have to pay (not included in rent) are electric and wifi."
