"Had a great Reuben sandwich and my wife had the Classic breakfast sandwich. Both were excellent and the meats were remarkably good. Sampled the Pacific Flyway pale ale and the Overnight Oats oatmeal stout. Both were very tasty. Service was friendly and cheerful. We were greeted promptly and we were helped with our choices for sandwiches and beers. I highly recommend this Brewpub if you like good beer and good food."

"Wild Barley is a hidden gem perfectly located near Alamo Heights, and I couldn't be more impressed with my experience. The convenience of ample parking on both sides of the restaurant is a major plus, making it easily accessible. The atmosphere is inviting and lively, complemented by fantastic live entertainment and a great selection of drinks. During my visit, I tried the white Blanca cheese pizza, and it was an absolute delight. The flavors were rich and perfectly balanced, showcasing the quality of the ingredients used. It's definitely a must-try for pizza enthusiasts. The lunch menu is another highlight, and my personal favorites are the bagel sandwiches. They are not only delicious but also quite satisfying. The variety of options caters to different tastes, ensuring there's something for everyone. To top it off, I had the pleasure of meeting the owner's wife, who was extremely kind and welcoming. Her warmth added a personal touch to the overall dining experience. Wild Barley has become a go-to spot for me, offering a perfect blend of great food, live entertainment, and friendly service. "Try it all! The food here is great. So far, we have tried the bagels, I recommend the sausage party which has a nice savory and sweet combination of flavors. If you get lucky, they offer some pastrami barbacoa, which is very very delicious. Pizza and wings are good as well. The pizza is only available for dinner. We did receive a warning from the staff that the flavor we picked was extra spicy that day, sounds like they make the sauces from scratch daily. The staff is also very nice and patient. Being that we were here for the first time, the cashier (possibly an owner?) took their time to explain a lot of the items and the bread/bagel selection. We have not tried the beer yet so I can't speak to that...yet. They do have some live music events on their website and trivia on Mondays. We will definitely be back to check that out. Enjoy y'all!"
