“I have been here at the bistro a few times and I have always loved the Nepali food here. My experience is strictly from the point of view of the Nepali food perspective. Chef Ram is an amazingly warm person who puts his heart out in the food he serves. The Momos here are actually better than what you may get at an actual Nepali restaurant. I find it less noisier than RSL. Have gone here a few times and will go again.”

“A nice and relaxing place to get your oyster fix. Looking forward to going back. I arrived around 1:30pm on a Sunday and it was packed. They ran out of Pacific oysters by the time I got to order. Waited about fifteen minutes in line. The prawns were amazing. Scallops were well prepared and highly recommend them. The staff are very hard working and do an incredible job dealing with everyone. Great little system of bringing back your plates and scraps to a central location helps with keeping the place tidy and running efficiently. Bathroom facilities available on site. You can walk over a bit to the other side of the place to the local pearl shop nearby, and the RSL for a drink or coffee afterwards.”

“Tucked away near Brooklyn Wharf this small but efficient seafood cafe is wonderful. Eat in at the tables in the shade or takeaway, the food is fresh and delicious. Generous portions, well priced and a friendly atmosphere.”

“We had the best value lunch today at the Wiso Pub! $15 huge schnitty with chips and mine with veg. The service was amazing and meal served quickly. The schnitty was soft & juicy not dry and was a double breast. The views over the river were spectacular. We will come back soon.”

“There are very few restaurants this good for quality, location and views. On a blue sky day it simply glows. Come on a weekday (weekends are packed) and Mario gives you just the right level of service - he takes you through each dish and the intricate details needed to make each bite amazing. The dishes look like works of art, the food tastes amazing (the rocket and eggs from his farm, the marscapone must be from Italia) and the wines are great. The only debate was if it was a one hatted or two hatted standard of restaurant, and where does it slot in compared to other top level Italiano restaurants in the City or Paddington. Keep it up Mario, we salute you.”

Dropped in because I couldn’t be bothered cooking tonight. $15 for a very nice steak, salad and chips with sauce on the side including a free glass of wine. Why in the world would you cook? “It was the Easter weekend, so it was busy. The outdoor setting was a mixture of shade and sunshine. They were able to accommodate large groups. The pizza was excellent. The food was fresh and well prepared. The drinks were delicious. We had a great time and enjoyed being there. The garden was an added bonus.”

“This is my go-to brunch/lunch stop at the end of the Cowan to Brooklyn hike. It's a really nice pub with a big outside area and great food in Brooklyn. If you are in the area I can highly recommend it for lunch. I've never been there at night or weekdays so cannot comment on that, but for a lunch on a sunny day it's great!”

“A bit of a gem! A schlep to get there, and the parking can be a bit hard to find at times, but it’s worth it. Best to go on a weekday when it’s less busy. The fish and chips is spectacular, especially when they have fresh locally caught flathead from the Hawkesbury. FYI they’re not licensed, so you can bring your own or buy at the bottle-o next door, they’ll charge you a small corkage.”

“A lovely restaurant with a great team behind it. A varied menu with a lot of seafood options on it. Plenty of seating inside and outside. Food is fast and fresh. Great coffees, tea and deserts too. Easy parking and a couple of minutes walk away from the train station.”

Sadly we visited on St Patricks Day, which Guinness themselves said they have the magic beer... but no, disappointed. The drive through?? The guy just pointed and said its over there? We were the only ones there, and No Guinness which made me angry.. But this review is for The Vicar... a definite to visit again, just not on St Patricks day”

“Had a lovely celebration lunch for my husband's 30th. The food and service was fantastic. I loved that they had a clean high chair set up for us for my little one, just made it so much easier than trying to find one myself one handed! Drinks were on point. Food was so delicious. Would highly recommend, thank you for such a wonderful day with our family!”
