The Executive, Newcastle
● Open“Modern, clean, and well furnished. A very comfortable almost full size apartment. The bed was fantastic, air con, great size shower, two tv’s. Multiple restaurants on site. I was only in for one night, so didn’t get to use all the facilities but would definitely return. Friendly helpful service staff.”

Reign Inn Newcastle
● Open“Booked an overnight stopover here while on a long drive as it was one of the only pet-friendly motels we could find in Newcastle. The reception staff were so friendly, and the room came with a little water and food bowl outside, plus a dog towel! It was very clean, and comfortable with air conditioning, a kettle, bar fridge and microwave. The shower was great with a big rain shower head, and came with soaps etc. The was also a TV with Netflix :) No plates or cutlery available, although I assume this is on purpose to limit the amount of cooking/mess in the room. I imagine most people are on a stop-over and would order takeaway? This wasn't an issue for us as we had our own utensils and containers. Highly recommend - especially if you have a pooch. We would definitely stay here again.”

Urban Doggo
● Open“We send our cattledog pup to Urban Doggo once a fortnight, and can definitely say it is money well spent! Captain has the best time, he's always so excited and is almost leaping out of his skin when we go in and he sees any of the amazing staff, and he comes home well and truly tired. We think it has been the best thing for his social skills as well. Highly, highly, highly recommend!”

Cardiff Motor Inn
● Open“Even before we arrived I had to contact reception several times to check and change my reservation and make some special requests. Nerida and Marco were incredibly welcoming, friendly and helpful. They accommodated all of the extra requirements for my 89 year old mother without any fuss. Our room was clean and spacious. The room service breakfast was delicious and filling. Supermarkets and cafes are close by and it was just a short drive to beautiful Lake Macquarie. I can highly recommend Cardiff Motor Inn.”

Catalina Motel Lake Macquarie
● Open“Arrived late to a cheerful welcome and got a better price by calling them direct. Simple rooms and good value. Worked out during the night that the AC remote needs setting to Warm OR Cool as it does not have a full auto setting. At least the room was warm for the 2nd 1/2 of the night :-)”

Waterview Gosford Motor Inn
● Open“Everything was comfortable, easy and exactly as described. Rooms much bigger than at Ibis! Having a kitchen and dining room available for guest use was a massive bonus, I ended up working in there for the day as it was a light, bright space with big windows and a view to the water. Bonus points for that.”

Citigate Motel
● Open“This is the 3rd time we've stayed at Citigate over the past couple of years and it is always excellent value for the money. Lovely staff, spotlessly clean rooms, comfortable bed, tea & coffee making plus extra crockery & cutlery if you want to have your own snacks. Just a few minutes walk away is Zaaki Espresso that does delicious middle eastern breakfasts & lunches and great coffee too. Not far from the Mayfield pool either for a swim and sit under the shady trees. Tip - book directly with the motel for the best rates.”

● Open“Staying with Mark and Cherie is like going home to stay with family. Where do you get to take over the kitchen of your hosts and enjoy a few cheeky drinks with complete strangers, yet feel so comfortable?! The casual feel, but beautifully appointed studio is comfort with a capitol ‘C’. The breakfast provided hit the spot and all in all the efforts to give you everything you need and more was incredible.”

Blue Wren Lodge Waratah
● Open“Extremely clean and well appointed The bed was comfortable and the room has a good sized smart TV, bar fridge and decent wifi. Access to communal kitchen, laundry and dining area would be very handy for many people. The location is close to Newcastle University but requires a car or nearby buses to go elsewhere. Overall, exceptional value.”

The Star Apartments
● Open“Obviously the place was getting renovations done, and it wasn't finished as the bathroom cabinet was on top of the washing machine. No fan in the bathroom, the bedroom backed onto a lane way which you could clearly here every noise, especially teenagers walking around screaming. Went to have a shower in the morning and no hot shower at all. Definitely would never go their again for the money we paid.”
