“I worked with Lambert Kitchens during the Solar Decathlon Middle East 2018 international housing competition, as part of Team UOW Australia-Dubai building the Desert Rose House. We selected Lambert Kitchens due to their eagerness to help and their ability to work with extremely strict timelines and difficult construction requirements. As part of our requirements, the kitchen and bathrooms had to be fully accessible, and meet modular, dementia-friendly, Livable Housing Australia and international sustainability standards. I personally worked with Gerald during the design, as well as manufacturing and installation processes of the kitchen, and laundry & bathroom cabinetry. Gerald’s attention to detail, awareness of spaces, understanding of clients’ requirements and availability to adaptation was outstanding. The final product for the Desert Rose House was judged on the world stage by renown Sustainability, Architecture and Interior Design experts, and contributed to the Desert Rose House winning the Interior Design Award, 3rd prize in Sustainability and 4th prize in Architecture among all houses displayed. I am extremely pleased with the final result, and I would like to thank Gerald, Corey and John for their enthusiasm and personal commitment to deliver an award winning kitchen.
